I'm going to work on condensing this list and adding/subtracting. Hopefully I can keep it at a perfectly ridiculous number like 7 1/2.
HOLY ****, how did I miss that one.

Sticky material for sure. Maybe emphasize the search function a little better. Since this forum has been around for about 9 years, pretty much every question that could be asked has been asked!

I wish I could like this thread.

I think it IS stick worthy.....but other moderators, feel free to unstick if you want......

Also, remember that in Newbies, if bickering/flaming/name-calling occurs, you're gonna get hit with points. If you see it occuring, feel free to report, but if you were also involved, you might get caught up in the scatter shot.

XanRules you rule.

Thank you for doing the PAINFUL job of quoting the general grammarless confusion that is 70% of nasioc posts.

I will generally try and be helpful and answer dumb questions as long as the sentences I am reading do not cause me to want to beat my head against the nearest wall.

BUT you could have included USERNAMES with the quoted bits so that we could browbeat them even more!

Beautifully written XanRules! Couldn't have said it better myself. This was way past due and I'm glad you took the time to write it up.

Xan, you broke rule number 1. You don't need to capitalize the beginning letter of every word in a sentence when listing the rules.

JK, good post.

the only that sucks about this thread is the fact that most of this is common sense, and that you have to teach certain people common sense. great write up

Very good idea to sticky this except for one problem: n00bs don't read stickies.

If the noobs read the stickies we wouldn't have most of these problems in the first place.

I would also add a new rule: It's the damn internet, get over it. Don't be a hero and try to defend your honor. If we make fun of you, you probably deserved it so get over it, you'll live.

I think n00bs should ask all technical Subaru questions in OT.
