Default Garage I Can Use

Hi All,

I'm primarily in the Silver Spring area, but does anyone in the immediate vicinity or in NoVA have a garage I can use for a few hours? I retrofitted my headlights using The Retrofit Source's Retro-Quick kit for the '15+ WRX.

I don't have a garage, only a driveway and no backdrop to level the lights with. Leveling has proved to be a huge pain in the ass. My last car, i was able to level the headlights while the lights were mounted (so i was able to do it at work against a brick wall). This car, it seems you only have access (barely, only by moving the battery and intake) to 2 of the 3 leveling screws. So I have to dismantle the bumpers and keep pulling the lights to level it correctly.

It would be a tremendous help, if someone wouldn't mind letting me use their garage to try and make the process easier. Willing to pay in cash or beer/food. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Go to any parking garage at off-hours, find a wall and level it out. You can do this at the high rise garage in downtown Silver Spring near the movie theater. Most tuners in the area use this method, you shouldn't get yelled at for that.

You could also find a County owned garage, you will not be yelled at there.

Thanks for the suggestion. I was thinking of going to the Target in Rockville, and using their parking garage after they close. Probably around 11 or 12. But I wasn't sure if that would draw any negative attention. Glad to hear it isn't out of the ordinary.

FWIW, most home garages aren't deep enough to aim lights.
You need to be back at least 25 feet. My garage is 24 feet deep, and that leaves only 7 or 8 feet of setback with the rear bumper against the wall.
A parking garage sounds like a great idea.
