Which one do you need? The generic ones work just fine on the outer joints. I used one and it's been on for 45K now with no issues.

order a new axle its cheaper then getting it done by a dealership... to fix one cv boot they'll charge almost 300 bucks (40 bucks in parts and 2.5 hours in labor). U can buy reman axles from autozone checkers pepboys and whatever else for like 75 bucks. and that comes with inner and outter boots.

I think hes talking about the screw on boots that don't require removing the axle.

It's either pepboys, napa or bap that has it....Don't remember for sure... bring the old boot or the bigger end of it when you goto buy one....I wouldnt be surprised if a 24 hour wally world carried one.

they have generic boots that you can put on without taking the axle off, thats what kpluiten is talking about.

They look like this, and you use hose clamps to keep it on.

also try this part number for auto chicken Autozone, Speedi-Boot #03606

possibly in the HELP section, where they have all the red packaged miscellaneous parts like window crank handles, reservoir lids and plastic clips.

buddy drove a few months on a torn boot on his dodge ram, he went off roading and hit some deep sand and broke that CV.

So he calls me to come help get him out, I offroaded my subaru to get where he was. I almost got to where his truck was stuck, but it was in a wash and there was one more steep incline that I didnt think I could make so I walked the 50 yards to his truck.

He would've never heard the end of it if I had pulled his dodge out with my lowered subaru I would've taken a pic and everything.
