Optimum No Rinse Wash. You basically put it in a bucket with water and it has a very high lubricity rate to suspend any dirt particles. You wash a panel with a microfiber cloth or mit and then dry it off. Prevents you from having to use the messy hose and bucket method. It also, as you can see, leaves a very nice shine afterwards!

i was skeptical too... but you really do not need to rinse afterwards... you follow the pre-rinse/wash then using the ONR wash you wash like you normally would... and then you do not need to rinse afterwards.

yep, i was skeptical too, especially with a black car. I live in an apartment without access to a hose and i was tired of spending $6 a wash at the local wash station (manual, not automatic of course), so i decided to give this a try after reading reviews from ScottWax (check out his how to here http://www.iwsti.com/forums/showthread.php?t=92576 ) As long as you are smart about the product it will not leave any more micro marring than traditional wash techniques. I use two buckets and i dont have any problems with scratches. These particular pics were done after a wash where the car was very very dirty (pollen/dust spots after a very light rain), and as you can see the results are very nice. Below is another pic from this wash session. I order the wash and wax from optimum directly. Wash - http://www.optimumcarcare.com/norinse.html Wax - http://www.optimumcarcare.com/optimumwax.html I really cant say enough about both of these products, the wax is simply the best spray wax i've ever used and has a shine as good as any paste wax. I waxed the front half of the car (hood and fenders) with Meg's Nxt paste wax and then did the back half with Optimum Spray Wax and couldn't tell the difference between the two. Quote:
word, though i don't have a PC and i'm not sure if i want to tackle that job by hand. Last edited by GuiltySparc; 07-21-2007 at 01:33 PM. |
