Thanks. Mine is a 2005, which is the last year before DBW & TCS. Sorry to hear you missed out, but another one will pop up. It might be worth expanding your search radius. I bought mine out of state & had it shipped to me. That being said, I'd already owned an AP1 and driven a couple AP2s, so I knew exactly what I was getting into.

Nice car & great color scheme. Both the S2000 and the NSX look great in GPW.

Yep, Hertz filed for bankruptcy protection on Saturday. Has already laid off 20K employees but they won't recover without financial protections.

Never bought a car remote like that. I would have a hard time committing without driving it myself. Never driven an s2k, just kinda going on a whim and a long standing desire to own one. And Traveling is difficult right now. Found one in Portland, but that's a 3 hour drive, so what, do I rent a car to go down there and drop it off in Portland or something... Complicated.

eh, not thrilled about the train. I'm going to look into doing a test drive on a local s2k at a dealer (I'll see if I can talk them down, but think it's unlikely), then a pre-purchase inspection and hold deposit on the remote car, and I'll rent a car and drive down for the transaction. There's one down there I'm really interested in. Going to wait for a few financial things to settle, hopefully this week.

I hear ya. The S2000 isn't for everyone, so a test drive is absolutely required.

3 hours is not very far away. I have driven 10 hours one way for a car and have driven 4+ hours on many occasions. I guess how much do you want it? I know with the Pandemic it's not the easiest thing to grab a buddy for a trip, but I guess if you want it you will make something work in these tough times. Good Luck.

3 hrs? Poor baby.

Do it, bitch.

After I sold my F-XT I wanted a roadster. Wife found an NA Miata in St Louis (without telling me). I came home from work on a Friday to a train ticket and an envelope of cash. Took a late train down and drove my Miata back to Detroit

Do it, bitch.

DO EEEEEET!

I sold two cars in March to Seattle people who drove down and picked them up. One left the second we hung up and was here before lunch. Is spicy Subaru.

The drive isn't a huge deal ... just don't have any family to go with me, and my buddies wives won't let them come with be because of covid bs (or at least that's their excuse). So then I have to rent a car and get the dealership to pick me up... just an added level of pain.

Driving total 6-7hours round trip to pickup a car is a hassle no doubt.. but once you do it, I'm sure you'll be glad you did. Be sure to take some painter's tape and tape up the front and side mirrors for your trek home unless it's already got clear-bra installed.

I too did my part as a consumer this covid19 by buying 2 new cars (Supra Premium and Forester Limited) along with over $10K in car parts for my various cars. I'm done buying car stuff.. until the next time..which is later today.

Get it shipped, itís probably cheaper and more convenient. Gave a 1 week notice last week to ship the girlfriends car from LA to SLC. Cost me like $400.

Sold to someone else. I missed the window before the summer tax on convertibles started. Things are selling like hot cakes. Gonna hold on for a little while. Got the cash sitting, need to find a place to put it for 6 months...

I'm quasi-local and would be happy to "test drive" it for you. Yeah...I'm a giver.

This will go much like 911 event did. All stop then screaming forward. Myself and other businesses already see very active buyers and the amount of stimulus they pumped in and inventory halted by production stops will have buyers hunting so grab it now while they quaking in boots. follow this guy for great tips on deal making

I just picked it up from detail today and it looks fan-****ing-tastic. Itís also having a new windshield installed as we speak. It could probably be shipped for maybe $400-$500 to Seattle.
