I have ~400 miles on my Emerald Coast closed deck block.

I sent them case halves and pistons but did the assembly myself

JE Ultra 99.75 pistons
Manley H-tuff rods
King bearings
2020 STi crank

Car is super quiet and has almost no piston slap. PTW clearance was set at .035 according to JE

I have no complaints, but wish the communication was better from the shop. I had to ask them multiple times what they set the PTW clearance to as they didn't tell me when they shipped the block back. The woman I spoke to on the phone was courteous but tried arguing with me that I didn't pay for them to fit the pistons to the block despite me declaring in my original email that I wanted the pistons fitted to the bores, and the extra cost associated with it. She had to go back to their machinist who finally told her he set it to .035

I had the rotating assembly balanced locally, and asked that machine shop to check the PTW clearance just in case. they said it was dead on at .035 and that the block looked really good in their opinion.

YMMV
