Well the harnesses i got for 40 each at my dealer, and the lamps were actually on a customers car and they complained of moisture, so subaru didnt want them back, i got them for 150 total and im just gonna seal up the edge and whatever other holes there are and thats that. Bought them off a friend whos a tech, but i also know there are some sets available across the us because of my work which controls inventory for soa, unfortunately they have to sit for 9 months and become inactive to be able to get them how i did

I'm looking at the gorilla flaps and rally armor. Does anyone have any strong opinions one way or another? I live in central NY so would either perform better in the cold and snow?

There are the $90 Rokblokz which look promising, too:
http://www.rokblokz.com/impreza-20-sport-12.html

Who are the ad wizards that came up with the name "Rokblokz"? Probably the same ones who invented "KnuKonceptz".

I have the rally armor on my '14 Impreza Sport. They look fine and work fine as well. I haven't been threw the winter with them yet, so can't comment on how well they hold up.

I do know they do fine with mud. Where i work has a dirt parking lot and they make a difference.

The one thing I do notice is that you will here them rub when pulling in and out of steep parking lots. I have had them rub a few times, but hasn't left any lasting damage on the flaps.

I like how my Flapatax are pretty rigid. Comes in handy for parallel parking. The flaps will touch the curb before my wheel or rim would.

I have the rally armors with the lip kit and they fit awesome and withstood some pretty deep muddy areas. See photos for examples from the past weekends cabin trip:

Possibly slight MPG increase actually - likely from the car not bogging as much, and thus having to power out of things less.

Take this with a grain of salt. It may be in my head. But hey, it's free.

Removed my filter as well and can confirm all of this. The car feels easier and has more carry. You could describe it as improved throttle response. It does coast more when the throttle is released.
The removal is easy but tedious. You can save the filter but the plastic bolts will need to be broken. I cut them with a pocket knife. All in all its a pretty good mod...especially it being free.

Doesn't the PZEV status have something to do with the programming of the vehicle too? I thought I remembered something about the initial idle RPMs and A/F ratio being set up to heat up the cat. I dunno.. Otherwise, I'm still interested in what (if any) consistent effect the charcoal filter removal has from vehicle to vehicle. Free is always tempting lol

Yes it does. Removing the charcoal filter just improves the air flow. I'm pretty sure the programming is to heat the cat until the blue light turns off on initial start up.

Got the 2015 sti lip to fit, only had to cut it in half shorten one half then we took other chunks of the lip and used them as backing to hold them together. Turned out amazing i love the look of it.

Can someone please explain the purpose of the PZEV charcoal filter and what, if any, potential negative side effects removing it could cause?
