Just get a heat shield that's the same shape as the ones that are on catalytic converters, and weld it to a straight pipe. no one would be the wiser. It worked for me.

I had xenon supply, essentially the exact same thing. It wasn't the quality, it was the glare of putting HIDs in halogens. It just doesn't work.

That would take too long and isnt reversible if you need to. It's much easier to weld or even use hose clamps to attach a heat shield to a straight pipe. Also so you don't throw a code get some spark plug antifoulers and drill out one to accept an o2 sensor screw both together and then into the o2 bung and you'll be good to go.

I had the xenon supply, garbage. Now I have ddm tuning, much better quality and reliability. Xenon supply ones wouldn't always fire and ballast were massive.

Six star OEM 50/50. I was told its the best because the subaru cooling system is temperamental.

Anyone here have the rear lip for the hatch? If so, pictures would be great!

Probably not right away, but I have read about people cranking the ebrake and massive clunks coming from the bowls of the tranny.

Just google " subaru awd ebrake" I found the most helpful ones that relate to the 2.5i's were the post by older manual trans foresters and wrx's. I don't think the 6 speeds STI's have to worry so much about this.

But if something did go wrong you'll be looking at dropping the tranny and cracking it open, replacing the center diff in the middle of the tranny and hoping your gears are still alright. It's a massive job that's pretty easy to avoid. Same concept as to never tow a subaru awd on just two wheels.

Yeah pulling the handbrake on a 2.5i is very very bad for the diffs. And you do not need the handbrake to drift in the snow.

This. And it's called the parking brake for a reason.

If there is an automatic de-coupling of the center diff when the handbrake is pulled as in WRC cars and some road cars, it is fine to do it.. but if there is no sensor, and you pull the handbrake, just think of what that does to your expensive differentials.. Not good things for sure.

04/05 STI does that. Just floor it to get in to a drift instead of ripping the brake

Agenda for today, track down and fix small coolant leak that appears to be just to the left of the drivers foglight area... if standing in front of the front bumper looking in the engine bay.

2008 WRX sedan black carpet, ordered.

Had to take this amp out for the second time to send it back to MTX for repair. First time it stopped shutting itself off automatically with the car via the remote turn on lead from the head unit.. or the auto-turn-on function. It worked fine otherwise. They replaced the board inside because they are discontinued.

Got it back and a couple weeks later, then one day last week- it smelled like my car was on fire all of the sudden driving down the road at 60 mph.. So I pulled over and after checking for fires, unhooked the fuse by the battery. It still was functioning fine, but smelled like something was burning inside. Not cool.

It sounds great otherwise.. and has a ton of power, but I would not recommend it to a friend!

Anyone have raceland coilovers? Thinking of buying them for a suspension upgrade. Good idea or bad idea? Suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The people who have them will say they're awesome. But they're a cheap coilover. They're not that great.

It all depends on what you want out of your suspension.

I'd go Koni inserts with RCE springs vs raceland. More bang for the buck and also if ur gunna get coilovers mind as well do it right so you don't piss ur money away. I'd hate to see u spend more for no reason.
