Default Fa20dit what is this noise?

Take a close listen to this video. At about 30 seconds as I switch two lanes over you can hear a high pitched noise. I can reproduce the noise and usually happens at about 4-6k rpm under medium throttle. Is my engine knocking? What should I do?

Sounds like something is rattling. It’s high pitched and happens only in like 4-6k rpm. I reved my engine in neutral and still heard it. I hear it coming from my left air vent...

Could it be some kind of loose exhaust shield?

That sounds like knock ;-)... bad gas? also in higher gears at low rpm you put lots of stress on the engine.. downshift, don't go into Neutral (some countries even prohibit that is it is dangerous) my 2 cents.. Here is a great solution on the cheap that works as good or better than the highend versions.. http://tunernerd.com/

Is you car tuned? what mods? etc..

If the noise in question is the slight buzzing/ rattling then I would start with the shifter my car is actively making that exact noise and I isolated it to the shifter but I also have kartboy shifter bushings. I believe it to be something with the reverse lockout cable that goes inside the shifter and is held by a pin. Good luck

Is it the loud whining noise? Have you done any tranny work recently?
