I didn't see a thread on this shop, so I made this one. Andrew and his team are great to say the least. Over the 14 years of owning my STi, it has been to Andrew's shop many times for upgrades and repairs. Each time I visit the shop, Andrew gives honest advice, straight forward diagnosis of problems and multiple solutions and/or suggested upgrade paths. I recently was in need of a new clutch at 135k miles. Andrew immediately gave suggestions taking what he knows about my car and driving into consideration. I decided to make this post because finding a shop to work on your Subaru is easy. Finding one that you can trust to do the job right isn't. On top of being an excellent shop, it's always good speaking with Andrew and Ben when I visit. Before I left the shop, Andrew gave me a good idea of the break-in period, what to expect in terms of feel as its breaking-in and the change in the feeling of the clutch engagement. After we decided on the clutch, I read about these things on my own, but I really appreciate Andrew taking the time to go over these changes before I pulled away. Andrew is a true professional who is dedicated to his customers and craft.

I’m writing this on behalf of a friend who is not on NASIOC.

He says that Andrew Yates did fantastic work on a transmission job for him recently, and that the thing is running better than new.

He also says that their rate was significantly lower than the dealership’s quote, despite being a specialist.

I’ll personally note that Andrew was the original owner of Andrewtech Automotive, a highly-respected old school tuning shop on these forums. He is no longer involved there and it’s under new management, with a new name: Bespoke Performance.

Bespoke is still good, but it’s changed a lot. I’m looking forward to trying out Andrew’s new place next time.
