I don't contribute to it all that much, but I really see no reason why this thread should bug anyone. Just my .02 cents.

the problem is the michigan guys get lost in the MWSOC stuff... we don't REALLY fit into the MWSOC classification being all the way over here in detroit and it's more efficient to just have one thread. The last two threads i started outside the michigan read here thread died horrible deaths... 0 replies. had i posted the same info in the read here thread they woudl ahve stayed alive. I am working on a solution for us to use in order to not burnden the board or you "real" MW people... but my computer is not cooperating.

Guy's I don't mind a thread going on, but after 8 pages, and only visiting this board 1-2 times a day, it's hard to keep track of what's up.

Safir, I saw your posts and was hoping people would jump on as well. It seems really hit or miss.

That's the problem with this board, too many forums/threads to check out for a particular interest.

Point taken. we will get something working.

here are the posts re: the two scca events:
TSD Rally School, $15

Driver's School, 3 day event, $175

But your hit or miss comment is, unfortunately, accurate. That is one reason we have our thread. If there is one michigan thread, while it has wandered, we always know where to look to find the michigan members talking about michigan stuff... in our thread.

Well, I didn't mean to offend anyone (in case I did). But there isn't any reason that Michigan memebers can't post in this forum. I was just commenting that I hadn't seen a topic grow so hot since the JC Sports Turbo Kit group buy.

The more the merrier.

I think the tone of your origional post was not what you meant it to be, and everything you said is 100% accurate, if I don't get the mail server up and running we probably shoudl split it up into a couple threads, one BS thread, one friday night thread, etc to keep the crap down for people who can't follow that much message volume, for whatever reason... I guess it never bothered me because i am in front of a computer all day at work.

Revision - you're absolutely right, there is no reason MI members cannot post in this forum, it is apublic forum after all

but a sentiment that is expressed oten both on this board and when we meet IRL is taht us michigan people tend to get lost here, as there are so many KC and chicagoland people in here, we're willing to live with that, if you guys are willing to live with our 8 page threads

The gratiot cruise spots are between 12 mile and I think down to 10 mile where the turnaround is. I usally see imports down there anytime after 8-9pm.

Thumbs up

Safir,
Sorry I missed you guys. I play b-ball in roseville from 7-10pm on fridays, so I was just cruising for a bit, until 8:30pm, before getting to the gym, to see if I would see some Imprezerheads around. Woodward is a cool place to cruise. I was there with a couple of friends, both with Si's, about 2 1/2wks ago...don't mean to brag, but I smoked them at the stretch of Woodward where the road goes underneath 696, just for fun. I don't know if that was such a great idea since I was still supposed to break my car in...I was still under 1K miles..but it sure was a freakin thrill!! hehe...
Now you can tell I'm not much of a speed freak..just yet.

OO will i have some pictures for you guys tomorrow.. unless the ride home killed it too much... lets just say there is mud on my windows. I spent hte day up by Kid Rock's house... mad dirt roads back there...

and John, before you ask.. no i did not slide into a ditch.. well not quite... only half of me slid into the ditch.

I'm going down this road with my friend who lives int eh area, and she's like, ok, there's a hard right over this crest. I go over the crest, and sure enough, there's the turn. I slow way down. downshift, drift a little through the corner.. no problem. so the next crest comes up, another hard right on the other side 'eh? ok, i can go a littel faster this time... or not.. hit the brakes, downshift, give it a little power... understeer.. and ltos of it.. i think oh ****.. cut the wheel and more gas to swing it around.. it swung aroudn all right... right off the edge of the road.i slid about 15 feet with the rear hanging off the road, thinking.. drive out of this.. give it gas, front wheels gripping a little, rear wheels practically in the air... but it did pull out... oh boy.. what a thrill.. wish i had a camera right there, because my car was COVERED in mud when i stopped to check everything out... a lot of the mud dripped off the bottom while it was sitting.. and washed off on the way home...

my wheels, also, were COVERED in mud... the tires were brown.. mud all across teh wheel.... mud a half inch thick on the inside of the wheel... calipers... and everywhere on the disc where the calipers don't squeeze... excellent... I'll see what is still there in the morning.

I did some launches today in the rain. What fun! Slip the clutch a tad at around 3500-4000 RPM and off you go with boost off the line! I also power slid around a few corners as well. I love this car! Just needs more power! It's quick but not exactly fast yet.
