Default Looking for a paint shop

So Iím looking for some recommendations on a good paint shop. Looking to get my 2004 repainted factory color. Thereís a few around my way, with good reviews but before I dish out $5500, Iíd like to get some input from you guys. Maryland or Virginia, doesnít really matter I just want the car to look clean and new again.

In Mt Airy, I have used Mt Airy Collision in the past a few times for vehicle damage and for just simple paint matched parts. Most recently for my girl's Crosstrek that managed to land about $5800 in damage from a deer in Jan. I used to be a master painter for various shops years ago and can vouch for their fantastic work. Only problem would be getting in. They had a 2 month waiting list to get our vehicle in. Business MUST be good!

D&V Autobody in Sterling is top of the line but you will pay for it. I've also used Dulles Autobody and Sal does some pretty good work.

Any other recommendations in Maryland besides Mt. Airy?

I know and have used TJ Hitech Autobody in Parkville on 8606 Old Harford Road near Putty Hill.

They have done all my warranty work including my Saturn and now my STi.

STi was rearended in a parking lot and the whole bumper had to get replaced. Apparently these things don't come painted, so they did the work.

Can't speak to fees or anything as it was all warranty work, but I have no complaints.

The guy I know (Todd) has been painting for the last 15-20 years.

Good Luck!

Wow. I live about a mile south off of Old Harford. A guy I worked with recommended this shop years ago but I never went. I just texted him and he also recommended Todd. I will check him out. Thanks.

IAG Collision did a great job matching the paint on both my black Camaro Z28 and on my WRX for some body work, and I paid for the WRX work out of pocket. I would talk to them about a full paint (and have consider doing so for my green Camaro Z28, which had the clear coat start to vacate the premises after 20 years of sun and fun).....
