Exclamation Buyer Beware

I wouldn't be so sure cerbomark. I've held off writing anything public about my negative experiences so far with my Anarchy Motive shift knob purchase, but as each day goes by it gets more frustrating thinking other people might be wasting their time and money. Today is April 12th, I ordered my shift knob September 28th, 2017 and still have not actually received it. I checked in with Derrick twice during the 6 month span, finally at the beginning of the 6th month I offered to have him send me a refund, ship me the non-engraved knob (which he told me was complete) at a discounted cost, or guarantee me it would be delivered by the 28th of March (6 months since the order). He elected the latter. According to him it was shipped out on the 29th. All I have as far as tracking is the "pre-shipment notification" on March 28th. I've contacted him and the post office. He assured me it was sent out in the afternoon on the 29th. The post office could not confirm any of this. I've heard his post office is "hit or miss" and he has examples of where the tracking is not updated until the package arrives at the local office, but that does not explain how it's been 2 weeks for a priority mail package to be delivered. Whole thing sounds outrageously shady. Up to those out there with an order to take from this what you will. Just wish I had gone a different route from the beginning at this point.

Ive never heard of it doing more wear on any parts of a car in any car really. Iíve always had weighted shift knobs and never had any issues. It makes it much smoother shifting wise.

I m at about 8-9 weeks and when I inquired I was told "it was in production".
That doesn mean anything because I don t know how long one takes "in production".
I ll give it a few more days and then may have to stop credit card payment ?? That's my only option. JKLTDSTI/ don t know what to think but I m not wanting to wait 6 months , especially since now the bill is due for something I don t have.
Not understanding in what order he does these and if he waits on certain batches , I have no further opinion at this time.

8-9 weeks 'in production' for a part that painfully simple is ridiculous.
you aught to try and get your money back, especially if another guy is still being screwed at 6 months.

I just checked my e mails and I have in writing from him 6-8 weeks, so one click on my cc and payment is withdrawn from vendor. I hate to be a XXXX but being put in that place not of my own doing.
I m at 10 weeks tomorrow FYI.

I have an anarchy, its awesome except for some chipped paint. It took me about 9 weeks to get it i think. I payed on 6/15/14 and recieved the knob on 8/23/14.

And I pestered that poor guy like once a week asking how it was going, after about week 2 he started getting pissy.

great knob tho.

I put in a second inquiry with USPS today and I'll likely hear back tomorrow. If they cannot confirm the item has been shipped and it's location, I'm charging it back on my credit card. Then making sure at least everyone on NASIOC and my local and national FB Subaru groups knows to beware of this company. I'll just spend the extra money and get a Titanium Knob from WC Lathewerks.

I see you have an STI.
I happened to make up some copper shift knobs and stainless knobs for my STI since I have a few cnc lathes and it took pretty minimal effort. I still have two stainless ones sitting on my desk collecting dust.
My copper one looks awesome, that's the one I ended up using.
I'd sell one cheap if you have any interest, it will be in the mail same day no BS.
I'd post a picture but it's annoying as hell posting pics on this site.

It only took 16 calendar days from payment to mailbox to get my custom WC Lathewerks order.

I've bought three shift knobs from Chris. Each one a work of art and each one took less than two weeks from order to arrival.

Man it sucks to hear ppl having issues with Anarchy Motive. I bought a Mammoth knob from them last year and love it. It only took a few weeks to receive it back then. I was actually going to purchase another one soon in a different color since the pricing is reasonable and the quality is excellent. I guess I should start looking at WC Lathewerks.

I'm at the point with AM that I'm stuck. I'm no longer getting emails returned in a timely manner, and cannot get a firm commitment date on the order. 6 week original lead time, and now I'm at 10+. Waiting on a shift knob will not make or break anything, but the principle of it is the frustrating thing. I really hope that it turns out good, if I ever get it.

Default Updates

I have had some emails back and forth with Derrick and Anarchy Motive, he assured me the knob was shipped on the 29th of March. After asking, he sent me a few examples of where the post office took almost a month to deliver the packages anywhere. He plans, going forward, to not use USPS anymore to deliver his products. The wait for the product is still there, but combined with what seems to be postal shenanigans, it's added a month to an already 6 months wait.

Hmm, so I'm not the only one waiting around on my knob from AM.

Order #3505, coming up on 11 weeks and tried to email a couple times inquiring about ETA or just a simple progress update and have heard nothing. Been 2.5 weeks or so since I first inquired on progress. A response would be appreciated, Derrick.
