Looks good to me...

Who tuned it and I may e wrong here but it looks to e spooling a bit late as the peak torque is 5k or so... Also what is the boost pressure?

As long as you enjoy it numbers don't matter!

Your car has a nice collection of parts. Thanks for bringing it in for a tune. It tuned out nicely.

Target boost of 21PSI to redline. It hits hard and holds. Full spool by 4k on the street.

The tune is all thanks to FTW Tuning. They were very professional and did a great job!

Looks like a beast... I have a 43 on my bugeye also, didn't make as much power as you did but it gets the job done.

Any plans to take it to the track?

Very nice! Sounds good to me but don't think I've ever seen a VF hold that much boost till redline specially on a 2.0

It is mostly for my enjoyment, but I will occasionally autocross as well.

Checked the logger. Boost was 19psi at redline. The 2l cars will hold more boost with a VF turbos than the 2.5l cars. The VF43 seems to hold a little more boost than the others.

I mis-read your post last time. To answer correctly, the fitment was great. It bolts perfectly on the driver side and its solid. I might make a bracket for the passenger side, but it isn't crucial.

The car has 65,000 miles and yes stock tranny, but I won't be launching. Not for now at least, until I upgrade the tranny.

Does it seem that my HP and TQ come on a little late in rpm's, or is it just because of high flowing intake and exhaust modifications? Ive done research myself, but cannot come up with a clear answer. Does anyone have any experience with this similar situation?

It is because of the dyno loading. Dyno loading is often not as high as street loading, so boost builds a little slower.

The tuner already posted in the thread mentioning it spools by 4k on the street, which is fairly normal for the typical size upgraded turbo for EJ205. I think you're in the right ballpark.

Dyno loading makes a lot of sense and I missed the comment from the tuner saying the it spools by 4k on the street. Thanks for the heads up!

hey congrats man! just out of curiosity do you DD this car? I am looking to make a reliable 300awhp 04 wrx that I can DD, without the tranny and whatever else going. So is your tune on the reliable side?

The car is my DD and it is reliable. After about a week of driving, FTW Tuning asked me to bring it back in to see how it was running. FTW plugged in their laptop and did make a couple adjustments to make sure I wasn't pulling timing. I am highly impressed how it runs and drives like a brand new WRX off the lot, but when I want I have that 300+AWHP & TQ. I will say that I do not plan to drive it to hard (launching, slamming gears, etc.) because of possibly blowing the tranny.

With that said, I do have the funds for a new STI tranny if need be, but I just haven't dropped the ball quite yet.
