Default DrnknZag's Official SUPER Mad Props Thread (Fall '09 edition)

So I've been working on my car a bunch the last few weeks with the help of a bunch of awesome folks all over the NWIC. I figured I better share my super mad props with everyone on here.

Let the MAD PROPPING BEGIN!!!!

Huge thanks for everyone who came over and helped me tear apart the Steathwagon and put it all back together......
-Gray Ghost (Brian)
-Phreaker (Andrew)
-NickLippert (n00b mod)
-Ninja007 (Aaron)

Big thanks to all the vendors and other Nasioc members that helped source parts and whatnot.....
-World One (Epic Springs......and the strut tops torqued to 1000000000ft-lbs from my last spring install)
-Tom @ Kartboy (got my back ordered endlinks out in time AND threw in a free t-shirt)
-Epic Engineering (Dan helped me think through my part selection to work well with his springs)
-Caboobaroo (Russ got my terrible self-alignment all back together)
-VTR (Wayne rolled my rear fenders, as well as Les taking time at the end of his Saturday shift to help get said crazy tight strut tops off)
-All other various members I got used stuff from!

(If I forgot anyone, I'm sorry!!!)

So my whole project started after the Cascade Loop run this year after I saw this picture that Ken (RedHotLama) took and realized how sunken the rims are on the wagon....

I decided it was time to go WIDER! After a bit of research and a few months of talking to a few venders and sourcing parts, I was able to put together a nice suspension project:
-JDM YO V8 STi lower control arms
-USDM STi lateral links
-Epic Engineering WRX springs
-STi Kartboy endlinks
-Whiteline STi 22mm adjustable rear sway
-STi OEM 22mm front sway

Under the knife....

Phreaker in the process of breaking his new Craftsman air gun..

End of day #1....Gold BBS test fit

NickLippert and Ninja007 showing off the new awesome JDM lightening mod (subframe delete) don't worry we put it back on

Everyone's favorite n00b mod hard at work...

Fast forward to end of day #3.....back on the road!

End product.......

299hp/324tq on Dom's dyno FTW!!!

Anyway, I just wanted to show the recent evolution of my car and thank everyone again for all the help on this project. We ran into some interesting problems and broke a lot of tools along the way, but the happy juice always made it better!

THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE!!!!!!

Bought an Air Gun, oiled it, plumbers tape on the new compressor fitting, hooked it up. Attempted to untorque a bolt that was only supposed to be torqued to like 72lbs... gun broken less than 3 minutes later.

Anyways, I was only there for the easy stuff :P

And by easy stuff, I mean untorquing every bolt on his car that was torqued to 9001ft/lbs

If there's one thing I've learned in dealing with Nick, Andrew and Aaron - is that tools WILL get broken.

(Good stuff, btw!)

Almost time to start saving up for that! Next on the list is DW 750cc injectors, Gimmick turbo inlet (thanks VTR!), Samco after maf pipe, and Dom retune on the dyno. When do you have another weekend off?

I think that day we broke more craftsman tools between Aaron's and Joe's than I've ever seen broken before. I guess all the beer just adds to much power for them.

Joe next time we're not doing it at your house, I'm fine with doing it at mine, Andrew's, Brian's, Aaron's etc... but your house has no tools (that we haven't broken already)!
