If you're not using the radiator mounts, cut the nipples off the top of the radiator.
^lol I wondered why it looked extra simple and I could see the whole top of the motor.

Absolutly love this car so sick! To bad I live in New Zealand or I would come see it for sure. Since I don't have an impreza I have a sf5 auto forester. See here: http://ozfoz.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10876 I would like to do the tucking and shaving for my Foz, I like the Subaru engine just not the "add ones" on the side, abs ect. Just wondering with the loom that had to come into the bay like brake booster ect what did you do with it? Did you leave it as is or did you cover it up? Also with the loom on the fire wall how I'd you tuck that please? Last edited by stue.r; 10-22-2012 at 06:26 AM. |

Anybody relocate the PS pump to the A/C spot?
I want/need to move it and want to see some bracket setups if there are any. |

The more time I spend extending and relocating wires, the more I realize how much more time this requires than I thought it would. Not that this deters me
Engine bay looks like a warzone right now... |

I assume you guys are all relocating your washer bottle tanks to down behind the from bumper like a lot of cars are factory, which tanks are you using for this? Or am I better off relocating it to the trunk with the battery

I'm eliminating mine completely. if I was to keep it I would replace it with an aluminum style tank for a cleaner look.

How do you get away with out having one? mine has been out for a week or 2 and I've had to stop at gas stations way too many times to wash the windshield already

I intially relocated mine to the trunk with the battery, and then just removed it all together. I've ran with no washer tank for the last few months.. doesn't bother me. Maybe I'll put it back in now that winter's arriving

Apparently Minnesota is just a dusty dirty place I guess haha.
I think I'll get a Chevy truck tank (nice and rectangular) and mount it in the trunk. What all is involved in moving the fuse box into the car, there really isn't a good explanation of the process that I can find |

I know I can just tuck it under the bumper/fender well area with not too much trouble, but I think it'd be better off relocated in the car so I don't have to pull the front end apart if a fuse goes. I guess I'll just have to hunker down for a day and take everything apart and figure it out.
This thread is quite the inspiration |

Fuses don't go often enough to worry about honestly. How many have you changes in the life of your vehicle so far? I've put 50k on my car since I bought it and not touched a fuse. |

Actually I've replaced whole fuse boxes in 2 of my cars in less than 50k combined, one because of a fluke failure and one because my fender liner was broken. Here in the frozen north where they salt everything all winter it doesn't take much to wreck stuff haha.

Here's a few pics of my current project. It started out as a Valve cover gasket and turbo inlet replacement. That led to all this!!
Untitled Untitled Untitled I'm not really going for a full tucked/shave. Just the basic battery, fuse box, and all the junk on the left, relocate. And as I mentioned I plan to use the mini keg as the washer fluid reservoir. I was going to relocate it inside somewhere but I think the keg under the hood will look nifty. I got quite a bit of work ahead of me but it'll be worth it after seeing all the projects on this thread. |
