Default 2011 Impreza transmission problems.

Hello guys,

My car is a 2011 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport. Mileage is 41k. Ive had the same problems several times with this car.

The car will drive fine and without problem then all of a sudden it starts hard shifting on each shift. Shifting up and down will jolt the car pretty bad. Doesn't matter on the temperature outside as its happened in the summer and winter. Sometimes its gone a year without issue and other times its much sooner. When I let it sit for a while it runs fine. Ive had the tranny flushed and the problem continued. AT oil temp light turns on as well.

Tried to use check the codes but they clear each time the lights go away. Anyone have any ideas as to what would cause it? Thanks!

Do you have a P0700? If yes then there should be codes in the TCM. Perhaps the scan tool you are using does not communicate with the TCM. You don't want to start throwing parts at this one - the first one you would try is $800.00
