Sorry man. I have a few revised tunes sent out this morning. Hopefully they will chime in.

Waiting on the tune myself. Once I get it I'll do a comparison of the two.

First off I have to say MAPerformance customer service has been outstanding, from the purchase of my Cobb Accessport to questions about there maps. I emailed MAPerformance at 1:13pm today requesting the MAPerformance rev 2 of the 93 octane map and at 1:21pm Ian had responded with the updated MAPerformance rev 2 map for my WRX.

I loaded the rev 2 map tonight drove it very briefly, rev hang seems improved which for me translates to smoother shifting. Throttle input seems to use more of the actual pedal travel, almost stalled it first few times I took off from a stop because I was expecting that I had plenty of throttle to take off and had to feed in more pedal input.

Power delivery seems a lot smoother and more consistent through the top of the RPM range. As for being "faster" I only got into it a few times and I'm not real good at evaluating the old butt dyno. I will need to drive it a little more to tell if my WRX is faster. Definitely smoother!

Nice job MAPerformance, really appreciate the rev 2 map update!

+1 for the above comment. Ian sent me the rev 2 map quickly after I sent him an email. Awesome customer service. If this map is anything like/better then the previous map that he sent(93oct) then I will be more then satisfied. Great job Ian and MAPerformance! I will be installing this in the am. Can't wait!!!

Odd question, but how safe is this tune compared to the Cobb OTS?Looking for some safe, reliable power. Not looking to squeeze a turnip.

Bought my MAP stage one tune separately from my accessport after all the great reviews from happy customers about 2 weeks ago. Was super happy with it compared to cobb stage 1 that I had for about 4 months.

I started following this thread to find out about updates and revisions. As soon as I saw that it was ready, I emailed Ian and got my revised tune within the hour. Put it on my car and drove about 50 miles so far, feels awesome!

Great customer service! Awesome tune! Another happy customer.

Thanks MAP and Ian!

I would love to see a video of the rev hang improvements in action. Just normal driving around, typical 1-2 shifting and some first gear action. You know, when you press the clutch in before coming to a stop and the engine just sits at 1800 rpm buzzing away LOL

rev hang and the linearity are the only reasons I want to tune, I don't care much about more power.

Did everyone's request for the updated tune get filled? I sent an email earlier than some of the times quoted here with no response.

Same here, so I'm guessing not yet. Figured they were busy fitting/testing their new products.

Sorry, everyone with a 2015 got updated. Cobb has specific tune files for the 2015's and 16's. Our tuner is coming in this afternoon to re write the tune files for the 2016's. I should be able to start sending those out later today. Very sorry for the delay on that.

Default MAPerformance Phase 2 93 Oct and 91 Oct Tune with Cobb Accessport!

So I drove around this morning with the new map. The old map I feel had a lil more pep. However, the new map feels even more linear then the previous. The old map I was getting 1.41 knock sometimes but with the new map I have not so far. Switching gears is much smoother now. Feels like the rev hang is gone. Up high in the Rpms are dropping off but not as much as when it was stock. I need to drive around some more to really see the difference. I did a 0-60 for some fun and almost got 5 seconds flat on one try if that means anything. Overall I am pleased. Thanks MAPerformance. Good job

I had the same thought initially about the "feeling" of acceleration, but I think it is because the new map is more linear with power delivery?....

I think it's that along with how much smoother boost comes on.

Just got to try out the MAP stage 1 91 octane. For those of you who waited, it was well worth it. Not a whole lot more power than the cobb stage 1, but much much smoother. The car pulls strong all the way up to 6k as promised. No hesitating, no hiccups, nothing. Great job guys.

I don't know if it's me or not but it doesn't feel as strong as the previous map I have. That's my only complaint. Otherwise, driveability is very nice

A mentioned above it may be the linearity of the map.

Fwiw, got the 2.0 map very shortly after I asked. I will be flashing the car tomorrow morning and will report back. I have a feeling the power is nearly the same but the fact it doesn't come as abruptly is what makes you feel like it's lost some. Hell, I'll take a --10whp/wtq if it makes it more safe.

This could be true. Verdict still out

I went through the gears and still haven't had any knock at all where as the other map I did. Could it be safer?

It absolutely is. I know we did bring timing down a bit, especially at the high RPM's. I think this will create a safer, more consistent tune.

I know you were working on writing the maps for the 2016's today. Any word on when they'll be ready to go?...SC
