![]() I have a 1993 WRX (JDM) On the factory wiring diagram the ECU pin-outs for the injectors are labeled #1 B44 13, #2 B44 12, #3 B44 11, #4 B44 26. Does #1 #2 #3 #4 refer to Firing order or cylinder number. I believe that on the wiring diagram for the coils, these numbers refer to firing order. Thanks, Cameron

Right and left is based on the view sitting in the driver seat. Identification of #1 cylinder is the front of the engine for inline engines, and the furthest towards the front for V or horizontally opposed engines. V or horizontally opposed engines generally have all odd cylinders on one side - even on the other. |

![]() I'd say those numbers are referring to the cylinder positions, not the firing order. So, #1 is usually the front cylinder. On V or boxer engines, odd cylinders are on one side, even on the other. The firing order's a different beast entirely.

![]() The numbers on your injector wiring (B44 13, B44 12, etc.) refer to the cylinder positions (1, 2, 3, 4), not the firing order. For Subaru boxer engines, cylinder #1 is at the front-left, #2 is front-right, #3 is rear-left, and #4 is rear-right. The firing order (1-3-2-4) is separate from this and only affects the coils.

![]() Front left only if you are standing in front of the car, but as stated above, industry standard is when viewed from sitting in the driver's seat. So from there #1 would be front right. Also not all V engines are odd on one bank and even on the other, Honda and Ford number them in sequence very often. 1 2 3 being one bank 4 5 6 being the other.
