![]() Hey guys, so I have a question. Long story short, my 2012 STi is currently built making around 700whp on e85. Only thing stock on the car is the intake manifold and throttle body. So, I got a steal on the torque solution intake manifold (replica of the cosworth) and also the iag 76mm big bore throttle body.
I currently have the Cobb 4-bar map sensor, which of course is attached to my stock throttle body. The new iag throttle body does not have a place for the map sensor like the stock one. So, I’m assuming I need to attach the map sensor to the new manifold via the vacuum block somehow, but will the Cobb map sensor work just fine? Do I need to buy a different style map sensor? New to this map sensor and intake manifold stuff. So trying to figure it all out. Thanks in advance.

![]() I looked up the install instructions for the manifold and looks like they provide some adapters for hoses:
1 Brass 1/8" Barb to 1/8" NPT Straight Adapter (optional additional vacuum fitting) 1 Billet 1/4" Barb to 3/8" NPT 45° Adapter (for brake booster hose) 2 Billet 1/4" Barb to 1/8" NPT 45° Adapter (for EVAP & Boost Control Solenoids) 2 Billet 1/8" Barb to 1/8" NPT Straight Adapter (for fuel pressure regulator) 1 3/8" Barb to 1/8" NPT 90° Brass Barb Adapter (for optional throttle body coolant pass through) Your cobb 4 bar map sensor should be the type that came as a stainless steel 1/8" NPT sensor that screws into their adapter to the throttle body, so you can skip the adapter and just screw the map sensor straight into the 1/8" NPT spot for the "optional additional vacuum fitting." Be sure to use some thread tape or sealant on all these NPT fittings so they seal properly to the vacuum block as well ![]() I have a Corsa Veloce intake manifold and have my AEM 5 bar screwed into my manifold this way and have no issues, FYI! |

![]() It's always a good idea to mount the MAP sensor on a boost hose to promote longevity. They are sensitive to vibration. It can be difficult though, because you also want it secure with a very short hose length.
How i have mine currently mounted. Notice the rubber to help isolate vibration. https://drive.google.com/file/d/18gATxLDZD9hNBrJKwge93O17gQnDx43j/view?usp=drivesdk |
