Default pitch stop mount question

I have a 15 wrx and was interested in the perrin pitch stop mount. I was wondering if there would be a noticeable diffrence in responsiveness on a stock motor, enough to justify the 100 bucks.

I have heard it helps out with the bogging between 1st and 2nd gear. I don't know if this is true, I always thought that bog was just ****ty stock programming.

^ I don't think a replacement mount will instantly change a driver's ability to drive the car properly.

OP: Buy it if you want, you'll notice a difference. We cant tell if its worth it because that is for you to decide. I haven't read anyone doing it and then selling it because it was a waste FWIW. I plan on doing this down the road a bit, maybe later this summer.

Why would it make a difference in engine bogging... ???

Do you guys understand what all the things in the engine bay actually do??

Well I put in dinosaurs and it makes powa, rite?

I don't agree with the bog conversation.
I do agree it makes a difference. For me, it was less bucking in stop and go.

Thanks for the relies everyone. As far as the bogging thing I guess that isn't the correct term. I guess it would be more of a lack of response thing (from possibly having an overabundance of drive line movement). Like I said I just heard this and it was only a question. I think for the money I'll try it out It can't hurt I guess.

i have the torque solutions pitch stop. it makes the engine starting and idling noisier. it causes more vibration too. it does tighten stuff up a bit though.

I think the Perrin Pitch Stop sounds like an excellent depreciating asset. In for one.

I purchased the Perrin unit and installed it yesterday. No noticeable vibrations inside the car. Going through gears, it seems smoother and feels like it wants to keep going into the next gear. I used to have slight 1st to 2nd bog at times and now it's gone.

I have had the Perrin pitch stop installed. It's worth the money. Like somebody said it's not life changing but you can't go wrong buying it imo.

Where I live the street is 25, before the pitch stop mount the car would not like to sit at 25, a lot of shaking. The pitch stop stopped this from happening, just makes the car feel better all around.

I just installed the Perrin PSM and my car feels great. Smoother power delivery and the car feels more solid and less shaky esp going over humps.

Just installed the Perrin unit as well. The difference definitely justifies the cost. The car feels more solid overall after the install.

i had the perrin, and was hoping to try another brand soon. I wanted to find the lowest durometer.

Perrin: "The PERRIN Pitch Stop Mounts body is machined from 6061 billet aluminum and features a combination of 90a and 70a durometer."

Torque Solutions: "75A durometer bushings"

STI Group N Pitch Stop Mount:
http://www.rallysportdirect.com/STI-...2-2011-WRX-STI

This one really confuses me.. it is the exact same part number as the 2015 WRX and STI bone stock pitch mounts. Someone also once posted that even the bushing part numbers inside the mount were the same as stock. So it seems this is a bone stop piece? They claim it has different inserts than oem. So was that one person just mistaken?

the review i read found on the very same page link above:
if you have a 2012+ STI this part is already installed as oem... the very same one, with the same duro..and exact same part numbers on the bushings themselves. by martin.jutras234060 on 07/25/14

also found this video:

I have the Group N "pitching stopper" and I can confirm both the bushings on it are stiffer than the WRX mount. Part D1040FE000. Personally I would skip it, especially if you go for upgraded trans/engine/diff mounts and bushings.

Thats the exact same part number as the Subaru oem look up for 2015 WRX's and STI's. Hence the confusion by some.

I think its only an upgrade for the 2011 and older WRX and STI.

That bogging is caused by the inferior design of the factory fuel pressure regulator. You wouldn't believe how ridiculous the factory one looks compared to a simplified aftermarket one! The cobb swaps right in and is preset no adjustments needed

Yes, you will notice a difference. I noticed a slight difference w/the "$69" Group-N pitch stop mount (did I get bamboozled if my 2019 WRX already had it )

However, I think I want more. I then started looking at the Verus Racing pitch stop. It comes with 70A, 80A and 90A [racecar stiff] durometer bushings for around the same price as the other mounts (Perrin, GrimmSpeed, etc.) that only come with one set bushing durometer (usually 70A or 80A).

Any aftermarket pitch stop will show a difference compared to the stock mount.

For the record, I also have the Group-N trans mount, Perrin shifter bushing, Whiteline positive shift kit, and the Whiteline rear differential bushing insert kit installed.

The pitchstop and the positive shift kit made the most difference.

So now, I want to buy a stiffer pitch stop, a stiffer trans mount, AND some stiffer engine mounts to accompany the other mounts. If I do this, I am guaranteed to increase my NVH, but my shifting will be so crisp and direct (which is what we are all seeking).
