So you are planning on running your jdm ej207 ver 8 engine with a 32 bit ecu ? How are you going to do that ?
Your engine runs on a 16 bit ecu from the factory.
If you are swapping that ej207 to a 2002-2005 wrx your usdm ecu can start and run the ej207 with a proper map, granted avcs won’t be functional. If you want functional avcs you need a 16 bit jdm with avcs ecu. Said ecu can come from a jdm STi, also from a wrx or forester, including vehicles with automatic transmission. I’ve completed those type swaps many times.

Here are two of those swaps, engine coming out of my bugeye was a ver 7, engine inside the van is the ver 9 I installed when the ver 7 burnt a valve.
Saabaru is no longer in my possession as I sold it to a friend but still running on a jdm ej205 with avcs.
