Angry 90 Legacy Passenger Side Window Problem

Hi I read bdoss123's problem with thier 1997 Rear window thread.

Well I have the Same problem with the passenger side window on my 1990 Subary Legacy. The window goes down easly but not up, the drivers side switch dosen't work going up or down. I hear the motor moving when I push the switch down but nothing when I try up..

I tired poping the switch out but it just popped the cover of the switch off. Could I possibly take a switch from a back door a replace the switch on the passengers side or should I replace the switch on the drivers side?

How do I take the switch out correctly?

Thanks

Chris

Anywho I just switched the rear DS switch to where the PS swithc was and it worked

just like in the previous thread....thnx

Perhaps the tracks are bend, take off the inside panel and take a look. Also, the pads do make a difference on how hard your window works. The pads on mine are completely filthy so now the windows are completely ruined from scratches

Your motor is probably old and tired. My Legacy's window will go up okay until the glass meets the weatherstripping and then will slow down and the motor will groan... It's my 24689th thing I need to do with my cars

Its on the outside of the window. Its from the little fuzzy pads that push against the window. I cleaned mine and they were FILLED with crap. Stupid women that had this car before me probably never cleaned it. Now I need to get new pads and new glass

After such a damning sentence, I feel near ashamed to ask: How exactly does one clean these pads?
