Default an 02 bug eye front end to 06 STi conversion?

hello everyone, i am new to this forum and i want to expand my knowledge about subarus

i am 16 and i am looking to buy a bugeye WRX wagon as a late christmas present. the car is exceptionally clean and very well taken care of. however, i do plan on working on the body if i do get it. i would like to do a 06-07 WRX/STi front end conversion. although i am a HUGE fan of subarus, i do not know much about them. can anyone tell me where to get some parts for the conversion or if there are any specific process of doing the conversion?

thanks for your time and happy holidays

you need all the front body panels from the firewall forward, and also the front radiator support and headlights.

then a relay harness because of the bulbs.

it's not hard but it's a lot of money for looks.

First off, it's a good idea to fill your profile.

I'm 18, so being new to cars especially at teenage years can be a good and bad experience.

You really like the 06-07?
What you can maybe look are JDM headlights/projectors with eyebrows, that looks good.
It's not the front end conversion, but a lot of people like it.

Remember, the search feature is your friend.

i was thinking of the jdm lip with the STi foglight covers and eyelids but i really like the 06-07 front end. due to money problems that really might be the better alternative

but thank you for ur help

Bugeyes are sick...look at some of D Moneys' threads and you'll gain an understanding of the potential of the 02-03's

I did it to my bugeye. All I did was buy a brand new upper radiator support from subaru for like 30$ max. Then purchased all the panels and re-did the wiring and presto. Very easy to do. U will notice where u will need to cut to make it bigger for the headlights. I'll upload pics when I get home.

Vecdran- u havnt slayed me yet. But I'm sleeping with one eye open

there are couple of reasons why i wanna do the conversion
1. i love the 06-07 front ends
2. theres another WRX wagon that is an 06-07 in WR blue and gold BBS STi rims. it sounds so sick and it looks immaculate and i wanna make that my competition =)

If you want to make it your competition then compete, don't emulate it.

Just get the bugeye, and save your money to get an actual hawkeye.

200% agree!!!!same as what I did~~haha
see what I did on my car, bugeyes are awsome just depend on how you make it better
if i am you I would rather to save more money for upgrade and maintenance your car first then the outlook.
sometime you can even make some money to make you car looks better(or what you want it to be)

here is what I did, I sold my stock hood for $180 ,then bought a cf hood for $50 and $20 for the ebay front lip, trade my wingless to sti trunk .
Maybe that not everybodys taste, but mine.I did DIY all the trade and installation by myself,I did scratched my car during I was working on my car, but those made me learned more about my car and also made me love my car even more and more and more and more.......
