Spent some time re-imagining what I could change on the front end following the lip fiasco, some of the parts have arrived, some are in the mail, and some haven't been ordered yet. But also trying not to forget about revamping the interior during the winter... interiors always get ignored too much!

In the meantime, couldn't help but snap a quick photo.

Many of you may remember that earlier this year my V3 lip was destroyed by a box falling off a truck. I took the incident as an opportunity to change a few things up on the build.

Over the last few weeks I've...

- rebuilt and painted a V3 lip to replace the old one
- ditched the foglight brake ducts
- installed Hella black magic 500s
- replaced the lenses on my JDM black chrome headlights with new lenses
- swapped out wheels.

So here are some hella dirty pictures of the car from this afternoon.

In a few more weeks I'll finally be done with a number of interior projects and looking forward to sharing all that work with you all.

Forgot to add this pic here... since this was taken I've finished about 90% of my interior project and repainted the roof scoop. Tons of little projects here and there to pull things together and make the build feel nicer. Looking forward to finishing everything so I can take some actual quality photos and share my work!

Well sometimes life just kicks ya in the nuts. Things will turn out fine but I totally was not expecting my clutch to go out just a few weeks before Boxerfest. I spent a good amount of time this Winter putting a lot of effort into the interior to get it ready for the car show competition but at this point I'm not quite sure if I'll be attending.

The good news is, a completely new clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, and bearings are in the mail... it will be nice to have proper power delivery again.

Sorry to hear about this but keep your head up, Batman.

Get that new setup in and get to that show. You've put so much good work into her you need to show her off.

Well, you know how it is when you have a gameplan of things to get done before an event, and you only get 80% of them done - frustrating when you want to compete with the best.

About a month later and finally a solid update. I ended up installing a heavy duty pressure plate (30% stiffer than OEM), 14 lb lightweight flywheel, and OEMish clutch setup by FX Racing -- which is a rebranded Valeo - the same company that makes OEM clutches for Ford and Fiat. I seriously missed driving the Bugeye over the month or so it was down, but it made the first drive that much more sweet -- driving up to Boxerfest to be one of the car show judges.

Still in the break-in 750 mile break-in period on the clutch, but those who say that people who daily drive (or track) their Subie will enjoy a lightweight flywheel aren't kidding -- so much more responsive even staying below 3500 RPM. No misfire CELs

So amuse, sellers keep using images of my car to sell parts even after I contact the replica manufacture -- I think this is the fifth one in the last two years. In this case, the rear bumper spats (which are actually OEM) are being sold by a replica vendor. Time to send an email

Well, two vendors in the last month removed advertisements using photos without permission. That was interesting.

But in other news, I finished a few projects.. molded a gauge pod into the OEM A pillar and then suede flocked it, along with the rest of the pillars More pictures of the interior once I finish the WHOLE thing.

And finally replaced my DEFI clock pod with this monstrosity...

So one major update to rule them all:

* Replaced front driver axle, as it started becoming noisy (boot broke, got dry, you know the story.

* Replaced front driver hub bearing and assembly, as it started also becoming noisy.

* Repainted CE28 reps gold

* Started extended lug bolt installation, put on extended lug nuts

* Started repainting engine bay

After garaging the car for about four months it's finally time to get back on the build train... looking at altering the fitment and some new paint. Also just got picked up by the Subaru Ambassador program so looking forward to local meets and handing out free stuff

In other news, another year, another eBay vendor using previously watermarked photos of my car to sell stuff! I think this makes number five or six, but all of them have either removed the photo or offered a form of payment... let's see how this one goes

Amazing. I currently have a contractual relationship with one ebay vendor to use images of my car to sell parts. I have now come across the SEVENTH vendor using images without permission.

It turns out that some replica manufacturer is just pushing images of my car to ebay vendors, which is why it has happened so much. Every single one of these vendors has either ponied up or removed images... currently I am in discussion with vendors six and seven, let's see how it goes!

So finally did a big surge on the car, redid the whole front end, which consisted of stripping down the front bumper and V3 lip down to nothing to molding everything together, making it permanent.

Also put spacers all around and added rear STi fender arches.

Last thing to do is install the JDM rear pot, but still slowly putting that conversion together.

The two halves of the V3 lip where bolted together using large metal backing plates, then smoothed out to perfection.

After a ton of detailing and squaring away minor issues, this is the best it's looked in years, maybe ever

God, where to start. I had this very bizarre issue where my starter was periodically not working correctly... sometimes it would work fine for a week or two on end, then it would take literally a minute to start correctly.

But starters don't routinely go out.

So I thought it was a fuel issue, and replaced my fuel pump, fuel filter, and FPR. Then I realized it was the starter. So hey at least I have a bunch of new parts

But then because I installed a slightly higher flowing fuel pump, one of the fuel lines under the intake manifold started seeping, which meant taking off the IM, and doing a very basic TGV delete job while I was in there.

So all that happened in about ten days. Quite a decent amount of work, and a little tired working on the car, but at least everything is working as it should now

First update in a while - kind of excited, getting close to doing the timing belt a second time (ie: getting higher in the miles). Picked up a dayco kit, with an OEM water pump manufactured in Japan, and the IAG timing belt guide
