Finished up wiring the gauges. Moved the boost meter out next to the AFR gauge. Going to order a water temp gauge to complete the middle pod.

Didn't have time to weld on the Sebring tip, so I'll be running this for awhile.
This feels awesome to drive with the new tune on it.

The paint is all chipped and there are a few spots where the paint is bubbling up from oxidation under it. And it still needs a really good scrubbing to get all of the brake grime out. I hit it twice with a cleaner and scrubbed them with a brush, but there's still a ton of gunk.
No curb rash is nice though.

Added the Beatrush cooling panel to the engine bay. Also got a little special something on the way. The start of big things happening in the future.

The eyelids are gone! yay! The exhaust tip looks better with that tip in my opinion, I prefer the raw look.

Was there a reason for swapping the engine other than s207 revving?

Eyelids are gone to pass car inspections. I have to keep removing them and putting them back on, so it's just an extra hassle. Though I'd prefer to leave them on.

I just picked up the S202 engine to build for the future. I put lots of km on every year, so I'm just getting ready for when the current engine gets tired. Planning to get some head work done to it in the mean time.

It was. Too bad I couldn’t be there for Day 1 on the tarmac too.

Looking forward to next year’s event already.

Finished the polishing up a while back. It's rough sanded in this comparison shot, but I got some polishing pads for the angle grinder and finished it up nicely. Didn't take any photos of the finished product though.

Fitting up to the turbo, since we were swapping from a twin-scroll flange to to single scroll. We also put a divider in to separate the wastegate from the main outlet.

Untitled by Lino Palatino, on Flickr

Welding on a larger spherical joint to allow for exhaust movement. The standard joint on the RM01-A reduces down to the stock diameter, but we're now 3" all the way. The HPI downpipe came with a standard flange, so we cut and welded that as well.

Untitled by Lino Palatino, on Flickr

Flanges were import from China (stainless turbo outlet) and the US (409 stainless spherical).

We were really busy and working down to the wire, as Ozaki-san had a customer coming in right after me (another bugeye ). So no photos of everything fitted up, I'll get those next time it's on the lift.
I will be wrapping the the downpipe, but just up to the first bend after the cat, not the full length like the previous owner did. Wrapped up the turbine housing in a Perring blanket, as the stock shield doesn't work with this pipe, but I may cut it up a bit and see if I can fit it over everything.

The turbo is noticeably more responsive and starts spooling around 500rpms earlier. Only a slight increase in volume over the RM01-A and stock downpipe combination, so that's a huge win in my book and it should pass inspection no problem

Well, the clutch is in. I've put about 400kms on it already, and it feels good. Noisy, but good.

Over the weekend, I had a chance to put on some Beatrush.

Beatrush Power Brace & Cusco floor brace. by Lino Palatino, on Flickr

Steering feels really responsive now and the daily drive is that much more enjoyable.

Oh, also put a Cusco center floor brace on over the holiday. The wife bought it on sale (%300 discount new old stock, couldn't pass it up) for my Christmas present.

Looking to do the fuel system at the end of there and decided to go Radium Engineering. Still thinking about injectors, kinda leaning towards Cobb. But we'll see what comes up on sale when I'm ready to buy.
