haha yea thats the main reason I went with the single exit. Its also much cheaper than the dual/quad ones available for the car. The noise is beyond bearable even with an aftermarket dp in terms of noise

The shop cut the bumper. They used a cutting wheel on a dremel, came out great. I'll get some close ups tomorrow

Was it easy to relocate the WRX badge?

I wish ours were at the same level as 'Subaru' like the STis are to begin with.

I did it when the car was a week old so yes lol

I used new 3m on the letters though. I didnt like the placement in the middle of the trunk, looked for ideas and decided to go with the japanese placement. Although they dont have a wrx, thats how theyre placed on the sti there

Did my entire tmic in that. And used engine enamel on all other metal stuff like the turbo Hotside and y-pipe. It actually helped wail theheat soak quite a bit. Not just for looks...

Oh, I understand. I was implying that he was heading for a gold-overdose because of his BBS, too. I like it. Didn't mean to make it seem like I was making fun of just the engine bay wrap.

Now correct me if I'm wrong, not trying to start anything, but isn't the gold wrap a heat resistant wrap not a heat holding wrap? I if I'm correct then the throttle body intercooler pipe should be wrapped in the heat resistant gold tape and not the Turbo side. The intake is correct because you want heat to stay away from the intake tube. But the throttle body pipe is what carries the cooler air to the motor and you would want to do what you could to keep that pipe cool ie the gold tape. I have my pipes wrapped on both sides, the Turbo side with a header type wrap ( to keep the heat in) and the throttle body pipe wrapped in a heat resistant wrap ( to keep the cool air cool) please correct me if I'm wrong.

i wrapped the pipe coming out of the turbo because it comes within inches of the intake and gets very hot which causes my intake temps to rise. i would benefit from wrapping the cold side as well but, i ran out of the gold stuff and its pretty expensive. i will eventually get everything coated but this will do for now

Gotcha. My pipe layout for my 08 is a little different. My Turbo side pipe has more of an aggressive angle towards the fender before it drops down into the intake Well. Good idea nonetheless.

Quick pic from a trip to Flagstaff a few weeks ago. Had I known the pic was being taken I would have put up the window.
