2005 Honda CBR1000RR Repsol
This is my late brother's Repsol CBR1000RR. I do not recall the mileage specifically, but he'd basically just broken it in. It's been meticilously cared for while he had it. The only modifications to it are an aftermarket undertail exhaust and a fiberglass rear seat cover. The stock seat is around as well. Would love to see this bike stay in the group much like my brother's 2000 CBR929rr did. Which you can ask anyone who has seen it, it was perfectly maintained and to this day still looks brand new. We are looking to get 10K for it to match kbb values OBO. We've still got to pay off the loan on the bike, we will be taking a loss on this no matter how you slice it. I have seen listings for the same bike for 11K due to the rarity of the Repsol edition. Can make arrangements to show the bike if interested. Quote:

Ugh you don't know how badly I want this Unfortunately I can't afford it... and my friend is going to be kicking himself in the ass about this, because he just bought an '06 1000RR (blue/yellow) for around $10k I believe. Free bump anyways

Thanks.
it's a beautiful bike. not since the smokin joe CBR's has honda put as much effort into thier race replica bikes. The erion 929's were just sticker kits.. the fit and finish wasn't up to par with the previous race replicas. The repsol is amazing in person. The coloring is an actual painted scheme.. you can't really see in the pictures but the "black" is actually a very very dark metallic blue with blue flecks. amazing in the sun. I've ridden it once.. the difference between this and my brother's previously modded 929rr is huge.. the 929 was a fast bike.. this thing.. operates on a higher level. |

That bike is beautiful. I wasn't around when your brother passed, but I had been talking with him on NESR about buying his CBR back in the fall. When I got back into the market for one a couple months ago I couldn't believe what I was reading.
Sorry for your loss, and I hope you find a great buyer for this one. |

I'll vouch for that bike... Ed took great care of his bikes and that thing was barely ridden. The front brakes on my 929 are from his old one. (Stainless lines, etc.)
The pipe on it is a Micron and it sounds terrific. I believe it may also have a speedo-healer installed, but I'm not sure if he ever got it in there. Good luck selling, and I too hope it stays in the group. If I hadn't just bought my WRX a couple months ago, I would consider selling my 929 to pick this up. Btw... I have an Erion Edition 929. I think it still looks pretty sweet. |

Bike.. sold.
unfortunately.. it's going to cycles 128 but they gave the highest offer. and we can't keep paying for the bike to stay in the garage and lose value. |
