I am curious to know what goes into building an ej205 short block hybrid with ej22e heads what are things I should be looking out for?

Even if you could, why would you want to do this?

From my old days on bbslegacycentral, I remember guys with 90-94 turbo legacies using EJ205 blocks with EJ22T heads because EJ22T blocks are next to impossible to find. Some people would swap EJ22E heads with an oil drain added for the turbo because they though the larger valves would add power, so the combination has been done. However, that was for a turbo application. What is your goal exactly? If it's an NA application your compression is going to be a lot lower.
