Air/Oil Separation - Starting at $339
The goal of this product is simple, the removal of oil (in liquid or vapor form) from the vented crankcase gasses, easy installation, and inspection/maintenance.
This is accomplished by using a design that has no restrictions; media or baffles, to reduce the flow potential of the crankcase. Our air oil separator differs from any other on the market. We use centrifugal force to pull oil and liquid vapors out of crankcase gases. This will insure the best possible separation available. Like a tornado, our system pulls vacuum from the center of the separator with the pressured gasses from the crankcase entering an obstruction free path maintaining the most velocity. This caused the heavy vapors to fall out of suspension. It functions with a vacuum source from the turbo inlet. Drain back design assures that any oil accumulation ends up in the oil pan, providing a consistent oil supply to the engine. Six stainless steel bolts on the top, make it quick and easy for inspection and cleaning. It is not heated, and we see no reason to add unnecessary cooling/heating (weight, complexity, increased install time, and increase probability of something leaking). The Killer B Motorsport Air/Oil Separator should meet and exceeds your expectations of form and function. Our Air/Oil Separator is a product that enthusiasts have been waiting for.

I've had some questions about the temperature of the unit in regards to condensation collecting on the inside of the unit. Is there more condensation because the unit isn't heated? No.
Our AOS internal temperature is generally ~240* during daily driving conditions; blowby gasses are H-O-T. Anyone want to guess what coolant temperatures are going into a "heated" AOS?

Always thought a heated can would be better.. until you made the point about blow-by gasses. Coolant shouldn't ever be much above 215 degrees F. Definitely questioning the need for coolant to an air oil separator now...

If a heated unit is fed off the turbo coolant line (after it goes to the turbo), the coolant will be hotter than what you see for 'normal' coolant temps, but still not as high as the hotter blow-by gasses. So if that's true... A 'heated' unit is actually cooling the AOS which is counter to alllllll the marketing out there

Wouldn't the coolant help keep the can at least coolant temperature during the winter, so the really cold air on the outside of the can didn't cool it enough to cause the internal condensation? Seems like at times the pcv flow would be cooled enough by the inlet air (fresh air from the turbo inlet hose) being drawn through (during higher vacuum conditions) to drop the can's temperature substantially.

Yes, if you were using the factory PCV Valve. We do not. From the testing we did with different vacuum source locations, there was no upside to drawing vacuum through the intake manifold via the PCV valve. Our unit sources vacuum only through the turbo inlet. While the intake manifold does have significantly higher vacuum (low load only), but the PCV valve itself is a significant restriction, so actual crankcase vacuum is non-existent.

"We offer a cold weather kit that uses products made for crankcase breathing in the aviation industry, so you know it has to work"
What exactly is this cold weather kit? I assume an insulated drain line? Thanks |

Thank you. I'm a big fan of K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid) and track guys generally are as well. Less things to fail.
No sir. A tune should only ever be necessary if you have a Vented system. Our setup can be run that way, but it is designed to run with vacuum supplied from the turbo inlet.
