Default Name a good love song that is easy to play...

I'm at college away from my girlfriend who I miss dearly. I've been picking up the guitar for a bit and I'd like to sing to her when I visit next weekend.

Can you guys name any good love songs that are easy to play and sing?

Thanks.

I found the perfect song: "Caught up in Your Love" by Ari Hest. The lyrics are exactly what I want, but the song is so difficult. Could someone help me find or make an easier version?

http://www.goendeavor.com/endeavor/t...bs/caught.html

Please help guys...

THe set of songs you can make sound good with an unaccompied acoustic is small. One that comes to mind that may work is I could have Lied by RHCP. Other good thing about their stuff is you don't actually have to sing per se... it's more like talking and carrying a tune while you're at it. Just an observation... it's important for me since I can carry a tune quite well but really couldn't sing to save my arse...

dude just do some improv, i've played jazz guitar for a long time, and let me tell you girls love it when you make your own stuff up. What you should do is go to www.wholenote.com and look up some jazz or latin progressions and then just play around with them, its hard to play anything that doesnt sound good, and you can keep playing forever, whereas if you play something she already knows what happens if the mood is really good and all of a sudden the song stops? If you really want i could write some stuff out for you, but its much more fun to just play around and figure out your own.

I'd try a Carole King song. Perhaps "So Far Away"? It's really more of a piano song, but could easily be converted to a chord series for guitar, with very minor amount of picking.

Lyrics are easy and familiar. She'll appreciate it, I'm sure. There's others you can try, too. Check out her album Tapestry, plenty of selections there.

Ok. I've listened to all suggestions and they are all appreciated. However I've pretty much made up my mind on the Ari Hest song, simply because it is EXACTLY what I want to say.

Can anyone help by simplifying the chords a bit? I've tried to no avail because I don't have enough experience. I want to learn THIS SONG by next week.

Thanks

It doesnt matter what you play, all she will care about is the thoughtfulness of it.
