Buying a new Turbo for 05 STi
Hey guys
I have a 05 STi and the Turbo is smoking a bit. There are no oil problems or leaks on the outside at least. I'm guessing the problem/leak is internal, inside the turbo. I figured instead of ripping it out and inspecting it, I should just purchase a new one. This is my first major upgrade/maintenance/purchase for my STi and needed some advice. Did anyone have a good experience with some Turbos? Any suggestions? I don't mind a stock one, but an upgrade is always a plus. I'm in the Richmond, VA area and also wanted to see if you've had any experience w someone trustworthy that could do the Turbo installation and Tuning? Thanks for you help.

Your in the wrong technical section of the forum.
To answer your question, there are way too many options and it all depends on your goals and how much you are willing to spend, if you want to tune it or just swap it out, etc... I recommend you go to the newbie section and look at the stickies for turbos as a good starting point. |
