I have a subaru and various stuff for sale, PM me if at all interested and we can talk through details and maybe I can get some pics and talk prices.

2013 WRX limited sedan, black. 53k miles. Clean title, stock. Needs some minor maintenance. And .... why I am selling: has clutch fork pivot ball noise.
The pivot point needs greased which means a transmission drop. Clean carfox but did have a fender bender with a stop sign runner I feel that should be disclosed. I also hit a groundhog and the bottom lip has a small crack that is held well together with some invisible tape. If you want a new car ... buy a new car. Otherwise well cared for.

Extra set of WRX stock wheels and 4 blizzak tires with some life left. Would be great buy for someone here for the upcoming winter for sure.

WC lathe works shift knob with red 5 speed pattern (very nice piece .. I even posted a bad pic of it here https://downtime.nasioc.com/forums/s...&postcount=709 ).

Defi red racer boost gauge, open box but never installed.

Drivers side AC vent mount for boost gauge (this was a group by here) I never got to installing it. It could have been nice.

you can unbolt slave cylinder and get a greese gun hose down in there to greese the pivot ball if thats really where the noise is coming from.

Yep ... already tried that twice. The pivot ball is down in there and you really can't get to it without separating it from the engine. Plus the fork is probably worn now and should be replaced, along with everything else in there. I'm sure there's metal shavings. All that due to one dab of grease. Eventually (soon?) it will probably grenade. It's not an uncommon problem, someone even does make an aftermarket fork.

These are someone else's problems to fix...

In all likelihood this will show up on some used dealers lot. I kinda feel bad for the person who buys it. I'd be open to selling it privately to a knowledgeable buyer, after we go over everything upfront. I'd feel better letting someone know of the issues than just handing it off blindly.

I think someone here would want to talk about the wheels and tires though. The last set of snow tires I put on here were gone in a day.

Took this lovely day to start gutting the forester. Building a tube car around its drivetrain. Kinda like a 415whp awd exocet

Do you actually plan on making it handle à la Exocet or is this another stab at 10’s?

Ive given up on 10s. I cant drive, and i have no time to practice. So its just gonna be a completely impractical stupid fast street buggy.

Crossmembers and suspension all stock forester to start and get tags. Suspension upgrades and tubular crossmembers n at will insure future driveway projects to keep me busy

I’m looking on my phone, so it’s a little hard to see, but I think there are a couple issues. First thing that pops out is that you should have two braces extending rear from the top of the main hoop to the chassis. I would run them to the suspension mounting points and tie them with a horizontal as well. I assume by the door bars and full length horizontal in the main hoop this will have a passenger seat? If not, I’d change a couple things. I’m not a fan of your top bar in the door bars. If you did that double bend to make it easier to get in and out of there are some other designs you might consider depending on what you want to do with the “car.” I’ll take a closer look when I get on a PC and take a gander at some roll cage rules to see if I think of anything else.

thansk for the intrest. That sketch is only 50-60% complete. The rear is all just speculation for now until i get the front fit up and get the rear stuff out of the car, lined up and measured. I got a link yesterday with some roll cage rules. Although this will most likely never see the track i still liek to lok at it for help on the saftey aspect of desinging the cage. It will be on the parkway, which is more dangerous than the track i think

Yeah those rules are there for a reason! But if you were building it to rules I don't think you could build that type of cage anyway, you'd need a front hoop WHICH you can still do without changing a whole lot. Otherwise, now that I can see it on a big screen, if you are planning on proceeding with this design (rather than a front hoop design) I think you should make the side hoops one piece with 2 bends. Keep us posted. This is cool. Just don't make it too sketchy.

the winshield needs to be laminated safety glass for penndot, thats the current reason the hoops are the way they are, i need a nice flat frame to mount the glass.

Hey, a Pittsburgh thread. Hello!

Just stopping in to say hi. Just made this account, got a 2015 WRX this past February. I live in the north hills and occasionally try to make it out to the North Park autocross.

My intro thread:
https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/sho....php?t=2858512

I really need to get more active in finding and going to car meets.

Good to know, thanks. I actually just bought a used Accessport off of someone last night, so that's covered. Next up on my wish list are a Perrin resonated catback, high flow cat j-pipe (with the cat next to the turbo outlet, not the intermediate pipe), and the Perrin pitch stop mount brace.

Some day I dream of a Mushimoto TMIC w/ red charge pipe.

In the off chance you have any of the above let me know, and my bank account will cry more than it already is.

Out of curiosity, why return to stock? I assume that your selling the car.

Well I have a full ets catted turboback, and a killer b full top mount with charge pipe (I replaced my mishimoto top mount) so not exactly what you are looking for, but close and much cheaper than new. Selling the car yes I’ve had 3 Subaru’s and was not happy with some of the issues I’ve faced among other things.

Quick question for anybody around Pittsburgh and north ish does anyone know if there is a reputable company that repairs wheels. I have an aftermarket wheel that wobbles and would like to see what the cost is to fix or if it could even be fixed.
