got news for you buddy... this is nothing new and its no surprise to anyone on this board. ive been in the same situation where i ordered sometihng from a vendor who turned around and ordered it from vivid. after 4 months of waiting i ended up with nothing. personally id be pissed at the vendor for using vivid as they should probably have known better. even though its not technically their fault its still their responsiblity to service you as the customer and that means ordering things from legit companies that can actually deliver things in a reasonable time frame.

Yeah, he pretty much stated it correctly. I wouldn't buy anything from them, although you actually bought it from another vendor. Spread the word about Vivid Racing to everyone in the performance market.

Maybe in addition to that huge Vivid bashing thread we need another thread of vendors to avoid because they use Vivid.

Thanks for the support guys, good idea to start hitting up vendors to stop using Vivid.

Shocking.

There's a reason they're not allowed to sell on this site.

Wow, they are still giving our members raw deals eh?

Vivid's episodes should be listed in the FAQ section of the site...

I just got my HID's from them friday, I'm pretty local. So I drove 2 hours just to pick them up, and they had them there. From my experience they arent that bad. They are a very small shop, and stock alot of stuff, in a very small warehouse, just like any other typical online vendor.

I won't buy from vivid unless they have the part in stock. I know better than to order parts from them.

um... no....
the on line vendor i work for has 6 warehouses
all fully stocked and tons of performance items in stock

not all on line vendors are the same (thank god for that!)

---------------------------------

vivid = teh suckiness

they have no overhead
thus they have no inventory

but they like to pretend they do...
and they'll tell you the product is in stock so they can get the sale,
and thus the funds to PURCHASE their inventory

There is a reason they are no longer an approved vendor here.

If you don't think Approved Vendors should be reputable enough to buy from without the need for deep research, then from the buyer perspective there is NO BENEFIT TO BUYING FROM AN APPROVED VENDOR. And that would be idiotic indeed. There are plenty of honest shops out there that deserve to be or are on the Approved Vendors list. There is no need for a questionable shop to be there. Period. EOS.

But how do you know they have something in stock? It's been shown that they're not always truthful about what they have.

I was tempted to register to warn them... but I see I don't have to. It will be interesting to see how that thread pans out.

I think a lot of the reason why people still buy from them that are on here is because they read the first few pages of this thread instead of the last 38 or so....

The first couple pages IMHO give Vivid the appearance of having a decent reputation... That is the good comments outweigh the bad by quite a bit!

i've gotten burned from vivid before... and I was suprised to get an email from them last week giving me a coupon for the trouble they gave me.

did anyone else get the survey they're putting out? i filled it in and they got back to me with a web coupon.

i may use it, not sure... from what I understand they've hired some new people which would explain the recent surveys and whatnot put out by them.

both ways, it'd be very hard for them to make a come back

Not enough to stock everything you sell. Not in the least. How many people work for vivid? How many in the warehouse?"

I see maybe 500 boxes in that one bay... figuring 5-10 boxes of multiple items, I'd say they have about 100 different products in stock. I have a mission for someone in the area... get a shot of their warehouse with all the other products.... because one bay isn't enough to hold the thousands of items they sell on their site.

Dan, if you're reading this... I'm sure you can supply a shot... since all I see are your offices and awards. Put it anywhere, here or on Rennlist.

I would think that you'd want to 'show' all the products you have 'In Stock'. I've never seen one of the warehouse... the INSIDE of it... showing product. The only shots we've seen is the bay .. ever.
