After 4 years of owning these Advans as silver, I finally pulled the trigger and made the effort to get them powdercoated gold.

Are you going to make me do this rant again? :P
Well, it's an amazing car. There's no denying that. BUT, it just wasn't what I truly wanted, come to find out. It's not a car you can step on the throttle at any time, feel torque and smile compared to stock WRX, which is sad, but true. It was TINY, and I'm a whopping 5'6 lol. Couldn't even fit my golf clubs in the back but IDK what it was about it it just wasn't me. If it had an extra 50+whp and a tad bigger trunk and back seat I'd still have it. |

Was seriously curious =). I went from WRX hatch to STI sedan and have my eye on a BRZ as a second vehicle.

If you have the money, and can truly understand that the chassis is so overbuilt for that motor then go for it. It was dd for me too, so i guess it lost its appeal as well. If you have the means for it to be a second car, I'd highly recommend it. Just get to know it at the dealer, take it for multiple test drives. OH, and aside from power, if you autox it, or any track time; wheels tires and brakes will do amazing things. I noticed they get really faded even when I'd take it out on some back roads and seriously hammer on it. Which also leads me to another point, it's incredibly predictable and easy to control. Assuming you're a pretty confident driver who can honestly say they trust themselves driving aggressively, this car is very forgiving. It is very very easy to know the exact moment the ass is going to break loose, and after it does break loose it's super predictable still, and very forgiving sideways. So yeah that's my $.02
P.S. If you can afford wider wheels tires and brakes, and a supercharger or turbo kit, highly suggested. The only comparable car i could beat in a straight line was an rx-8 :P I can only imagine how much fun it would be to drive with 250 to the wheels |
