I need a front fairing so bad. I don't like the new Thule ones, I cant find the Thule 555, so I'm about to make it.

I also need to put my front grille back on

I have an 05 WRX wagon with the factory rails. Looking to get the OEM aero crossbars and the OEM Snowboard / Ski rack (made by Yakima I think?)

I don't know what fairing will fit the aero crossbars. I think the 38" Yakima one is too wide and sits on the rails, they make a 32" one, but will it fit the aero crossbars?

Any other brands or suggestions?
You need an Inno fairing, size medium. Fits factory (oval shaped crossbars) perfectly.

It just cuts down noise. I've actually noticed a HUGE sacrifice in MPG's with my rack up. This is most likely due to the OEM Yakima snowboarding attachments, but damn. I lost between 3 to 4 MPG! Anyone else?

Gotcha. Yea just the bars alone I don't notice any loses or much noise. Now if I put the basket on I also lose about 3/4 mpg's and there is tons of noise.

Do you go boarding that often that you can't just take the board holders off between trips?

I love how low profile the Thule rack is, sits at least an inch lower to the roof than my BMW rack. Hopefully there is enough clearance for bindings.

looks good man, what size fairing?

i use medium size bindings, i have to tuck in the straps but it clears the roof.

Thanks for the tip! I actually just ordered the small (31") one be ause I thought that one was the one that fits the best. You say the 40" medium one will fit with the wagon rails without modifications?

Any pics installed?

Thanks, fairing is the 871XT, 38" wide. I measured the roof width and the 44" fairing will fit, but it will extend all the way out past the towers. Don't think that'll look all that good. A 40" would be perfect, but the 38 looks good enough IMO.

This time of year, yeah. I suppose I could take it off, but then my OCD would kick in when it's time to put it back up. I literally measured everything out to make sure it was perfectly centered. Yeah...Ima freak!

Even though they recommend the size small, the medium actually fits perfectly. Let me search for my pics.

I started with the 38 but recently found an awesome deal on a 44, I'll be giving that a try this season. I think the 38 is just a tad too short.

On the GR Impreza the crossbars screw in to set holes, what's there to measure? Just take the crossbars off with the ski rack still attached.

On my 2005 LGT wagon (previous car) you could mount the crossbars almost anywhere along the rails. The first time or two I carefully measured and made sure everything was lined up evenly and exactly how I wanted it. Then I got wise and just started eyeballing it so I could put them on in under 5 minutes by myself. Plus I could take them off in under 1 minute and they fit nicely in the cargo hold with the seats up and ski rack still attached. Sometimes I miss that setup.
