18" wheels and narrower front tires in 2021? I'm really struggling to understand how 10% narrower front tires is supposed to help overtaking?

When the guy in front under-steers off the road, the guy following gets an easy pass!

Red Bull is apparently "frustrated" that they can't let one of their F3 drivers test at the Hungaroring because he doesn't qualify for a superlicense yet. A big part of the reason he doesn't have enough points is... *drumroll*

He was banned for all of 2016 for passing a bu ch of cars under the Safety Car and intentionally hitting a rival.

I think the system works fine.

I was struggling to understand the changes too, this helped: https://youtu.be/BBlip10yYTQ

Tldr is the current design allows them to be very antagonistic with the turbulent wake which actually comes off the front. Narrowing/changing the front aero should kill that off again.

They are making the wings wider. The tires are going from 305s down to 270s. I guess that this means that the front wing will be designed to deal with less turbulance from the smaller front tires. Still seems dumb. The following cars keep blistering their front tires. A narrower tire is going to have to work that much harder.

Happy for Bottas, but what happened to Hamilton?
