Default cusco engine/tranny mounts vs. sti group-n mounts

I was looking around for stiffer mounts and found 2 options.. I think the cusco mounts are fairly new on the market. Well I was just wondering if anyone could give me some opinions or pros/cons of each. thanks

cusco mounts are much stiffer than the sti group N. My engine barely moves when revved with the cusco mounts.

The down side is much more vibration and noise. Also if you have upgraded alarm, you'll need to desensitize it.

Yeah I hear the Cusco mounts are like rock hard. I have the Group N mounts and love them... well worth the $$ and still comfortable.

the cusco mounts are stiffer than the group n. I have the group n engine and tranny mounts and am very happy with them. Also the cusco mounts aren't as easy to install as the sti mounts, the studs that go through the crossmember are longer and require the engine to be raised pretty high.

The Cusco mounts are, for all intents, solid. I'd avoid them for a street car, under 400whp......the group n mounts are the best bet.

so with the group-n mounts, can you still feel the vibrations from the engine? or not as much as with the cuscos?

when you first install them you will slightly notice it. after a day or so you wont even notice the vibrations anymore, you just get used to it.

Default Noobie Question

What is the point/performance upgrade/benifit of installing aftermarket engine and tranny mounts? Would they help me at all? I'm Cobb Stage II and haven't swapped my uppipe yet.
Thanks.

I'm pretty sure the Cusco mounts ARE solid metal.

heh near enough, they have small hard bushings in them.

After the bushings, the engine feels more responsive and shifts are more precise. could be all in my head though...

Hmmmm. My engine does not move at all with the JDM engine/tranny mounts. Prod the throttle and nothing. Just sits there. Even on the dyno. Nada. No motion at all. All the power straight to the drivetrain.
