They did, however, I am going to have to make it home to check them out. My ship is at sea.

Cool. Loved my Star Specs on my old '93 Turbo Leg.

Here's to 'old' Star Specs being on sale this winter!! (I can't imagine they won't discount them prior to the ZII arrival)
I want a set for my street-only specB.

Bummer, delayed by 3 weeks! http://www.onehotlap.com/2012/11/dun...i-tire-as.html

"According to Larry from the Tirerack, the ZII tires will be delayed by 3 weeks and they now expect to receive them the first week of March. Earliest they will be delivered to customers Stateside is the second week of March."

Very cool - the new Star Specs are finally on sale (pre-ordering really) on the Tirerack as of today - http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....R7Z2&tab=Sizes

That is going to suck, the Dixie national tour is March 16-17. Timing is going to be VERY tight!

Hopefully Dunlop will be able to keep a steadier supply in the popular sizes like 255/40R17. Getting RS3s in that size around spring time is like pulling teeth.

Also remember that for those of us on a tight budget, the old Star Spec will probably be going on sale.

Word of mouth directly from the Tire Rack says don't get too hopeful as they don't have a large supply of many popular sizes.

Like Robbie said, most popular sizes are already gone and the remaining stock is already on closeout pricing.

^ This is the exact same pricing they had over a month ago, which is why I ended up buying a set of R-S3s mounted and balanced from Discount Tire for much less than just the Z1s from Tire Rack.

So The BFG g-Force Rival tested out 1 second quicker than the Direzza II at NOLA. Coming from SCCA and Pro Solo Champ Andy Hollis who did the back-to-back test makes it a must-read for anyone in the market for the most competitive street tire for the 2013 season. http://www.onehotlap.com/2013/01/bfg...-thickens.html Too early to call it but for now, I'm thinking of sticking with the ZIIs.

They went on sale today. The only people with experience with them are people who went to NOLA for the introduction. Search for Hollis Racing on facebook for more info.

The Z2 was not at NOLA.

T-37, it looks like Andy and Jr. were the only two drivers who were given the opportunity to run back to back test with the Direzza ZII. The OneHotLap link above references Hollis Racing's FB post - check it out https://www.facebook.com/HollisRacing?fref=ts

My 245/40/17 ZII's are not as wide as my ZI's were in that same size.

Im happy these are looking to be just as good as the Z1 in the wet, thats by far my favorite aspect of old faithful. My RE-11s are almost on the way out, time to order these up. Im am kind of curious about the wide-running widths, i barely get by with my 235s as is.
