Default Cleaned UNDERNEATH my Subaru.

So I figured this was an OT subject, but after posting it, somebody believes it belongs here. I feel this is just rambling, but I guess this is where the post belongs.

I woke up, sat down in front of my MacBook Pro with a peeping hot cuppa joe and was thinking of what I should do today. After a few minutes, I Concluded that I shall clean the underside of my car.

I jacked it up my precious STi and put it on jack stands. I got out my cleaning supplies and my creeper and went to town.

While I was under there, I realized how fortunate I am to live in Arizona. This car is an '07 with 108k miles and No rust on anything. The bolts are still silver, the drive shaft is still black, ect. I've seen the underside of many newer car with fewer miles and I'd have to say, aesthetically, my car looks brand new!

Thanks.

This should move to OT so we can pick up where we left off.

Why do our OT threads keep getting closed?

You might want to wait until you have something interesting to say, or ask, before you post a thread. "I cleaned the bottom of my car today" isn't much of a conversation starter, regardless of where you post it.

I think it's a good topic. My 03 WRX with 208k has a very clean underbody. Is there a way of cleaning underneath a car? Would I do it just like I do when cleaning my engine bay?

Yeah I read some of that. You're not going to get away with talking about that kind of disgusting garbage outside of OT. I hope your mother never sees any of it, given the things that you and your buddies said about her.

I use concentrated simple green 50/50 mix with water, a large bristle brush, garden hose and a towel. I'd say most everything came off very easy, especially thanks to the simple green!

Throw all that stuff in a corner and get yourself a 4 poster lift. You don't want a car falling off those jack stands and crushing your harble.

I wish I could afford some! I don't know what harble is but it sounds bad.

We didn't, I think strider did. He saves my Facebook pictures to his photobucket and posts them on here acting like nobody else has access to my Facebook. I wonder what people are thinking when they see his photobucket profile and see that he has uploaded my pictures. He saves them onto his computer too!

its a miracle at 17 y.o. my car i bought this summer from marquette, MI has almost 0 rust at 165k miles. I paid $100 over book but a body like that is worth a litle extra coin up here. the car's been a garage queen last few weeks...needs renewed plates
but literally a week into deep winter my truck was so salty it turned from red to white! ive honestly seen it take as little as weeks up here to expose rust, it can be pretty harsh so as much as i like the snow i do envy the warmth of roads that dont rot your baby

100 bucks extra is nothing for something in good shape.

I need to clean underneath my 98 impreza with 216k miles. From the looks of it I see no rust, but it is all pretty grimy. Any recommendations or opinions on either taking my time and doing it with brushes or using a pressure washer (afraid this may get water places it shouldnt be...)

If you must, take your time. A pressure washer, like you said, may get water in places it shouldn't.
