Default Cloning 05 FXT ECU or Immobile This. 08+ too

My ecu has a bad o2 input. I first ordered an 05 legacy gt ecu cause it was 20$, I was different physically. Next I went with an 05 Forester XT auto ECU.
It was identical to the manual ecu. First I flashed my manual trans Rom to the ecu(tactrix and ecu flash). At this point I only had to deal with the immobilizer.
I already had a hot air soldering iron, so before my chip burner arrived I desoldered my correct immo chip and put it on the Automatic ECU. At this point you are finished if you are just swapping out a damaged computer.
Since I already ordered the chip burner I went ahead and cloned my chip. I pulled my immo chip back out and the other 2 too. I read the immo chip and flashed it to the other 2, reinstalled them and bingo, 3 ecu with same vin and security information.

Iron:UYUE 858D
Chip reader/burner:SP200SE
Software:WL Pro Version

I ended up using my 2 cloned chips, the original got a little flaky, I did move it numerous times. 2 cloned chips are working correctly.

Update, 08+ chip is on the bottom of the ecu, ic402, it is a 93c86 it is larger but the process is the same. There are a couple write ups on this on romraider. Just search the chip name. There is one where they don’t pull the chip, this seems easier.

I’m pulling immo off an11 wrx and putting it on an 11 sti ecu to run in the wrx to run davcs during the short time I run the ej20x. My stage 5 b25 heads will put me back to savcs shortly. I think the sdrive runs through the cluster, so I might be doing this to a cluster before long.
