After owning 2 second gen CRX's, I can honestly say the Acura RSX could be considered the third gen CRX...if only the price was cheaper.
That said, if Honda wants to revive the CRX, they need to make it: 1) cheap 2) light 3) with dual wishbone rear suspension 4) light 5) light 6) and did I mention light? |

That's awesome news. Could be the new car to have in HS/GS depending on the engine they put in it...

And the problem again is it will be NA with around 200hp to the front wheels with an 8k redline and 120lbs of torque. Not going to compet with what's on teh market already like the MS3.

I think that a new CRX having legs would not provide the reassuring feel in handling that people have come to expect from Honda's products. Also, what are the service intervals on the knee joints?

Take the 1800lb honda insight, put the turbo engine from the rdx in it and call it a day.

wow, i've heard this every month for the last 12 years.... but THIS TIME it must be true
any new model of the crx will be a disappointment... the crx was nothing special what so ever, it was a slow 2 seater that handles poorly but was very cheap it's only appeal was it's weight and suspension design which made it very responsive to both performance and handling mods. unless they wanna use a stripped down model of the insight and drop in a k series, i couldnt care less if they badged a new car as a "crx" |

I am not a big fan of FWD. That said the only FWD car have ever owned was an '88 crx--3 of them actually. I currently own one now that I autox in STS2. The reason that I love them are that they are cheap, light, bulletproof, and fun. Unless Honda can nail the cheap and light with the new one, I don't know if it will be successful.

The CRX si was a hot hatch from day one. The Road & Track and Car & Driver articles of the day screamed about the excellent handling. |

Absolutely... this car was fun to drive when you had the likes of Toyota's 1.8L Corollas, Nissan's 1.6L Sentra, Datsun's 210 (those were nice). He don't know nothin' about that there
