Seeing this thread causes my lower abdomen to cringe...
(had it done about 6 years ago via the no-scalpel technique, getting jabbed with the needle is the worst part. There was no shaving or prep (besides taping my bird onto my belly to keep it out of the way) and having the same nurse applying the (very cold) antibacterial stuff. Leaves a guy feeling pretty vulnerable lying up on a tall table all exposed and about 5 nurses walking around doing various prep things. The urologist squeezed each nut pretty damned hard and invasively during the exam before he started cutting, not comfortable. He made a little snip at the top of the sack, reached in, pulled out the vas-deferens and the first one was done in 1 minute. With the second one I could feel lots of pain and tugging (that as someone said above felt like it was attached way up to my earlobe) but I decided to let them finish rather than wait for another needle to kick in, the other attending surgeon saw my face and asked a couple times if I wanted to stop and get the needle but said that it was almost done. I then had some pain for the first few days, getting out of the car when we got home was the only AMAZINGLY painful part. But I had some chronic pain whenever I got ball-tapped or when I did too much work/exercise in certain ways. Took probably 3 years for that to completely go away. My friend had to have the surgery redone due to pain and he has lived with moderate to high pain levels for about 10-15 years. Not good. Still to this day when women joke about how minor a surgery is, I cringe and get a little defensive. New stats show that the percentage of dudes who have moderate amount of side-effects for a while and/or for long-term is pretty high and nearly as much as with tubal-ligation (from what I hear) But juicing in MILFs is cool knowing ya can't make the babies.

My balls definitely "blue-up" faster than they did prior to the surgery. But I did have some veins removed while they were in there too...so maybe that is it.

I feel a small twinge here and there, but that may just be the anesthetic wearing off and the nerves waking back up.
Nothing I'd really consider pain yet. The worst part of the whole procedure was definitely the firm grip on the testicle while he was moving stuff into place. That was uncomfortable. The needle stick was virtually nothing. I'm planning on keeping on Ibuprofen for the next two days just to be sure and help keep the inflammation down. I think that's probably key to a quick recovery. |

Had mine done a week ago Wednesday. No real pain just a little discomfort. Went back to work ( bouncer) on Friday night, rode the motorcycle to the real job on monday. The external stitch fell out this morning in the shower. Best 30$ copay ever.

But I specifically asked about Ibuprofen after the procedure and he said it was fine. I'm wondering if they meant not to take Aspirin or Advil *before* the procedure in case they have a problem getting the blood to clot. |

I went to a surgical center and got some Propofol for the procedure. He does it both in office and in the surgical center. I chose the center.

My Dr preferred it, said my insurance covered it so why not. Now I have a feeling he played with my junk or something. Anyway, I liked it that way. I feel asleep, woke up and wondered when we were gonna start. Oh crap it was already over. Yay |

Race season starts soon...in WA?! Anyway, you shouldn't be out more than a week, two tops from riding. I asked the same question.

:Cringe: here too. My stuff works too well, and I enjoy it way too much, to risk having some hack down there with a scalpel potentially change my life. Even 1% is too much risk in that area.
So my wife had the new non-surgical Adiana procedure done about a month ago. Two more months and we're all clear. Adiana is two tiny silicon matrix beads that are inserted via my favorite orifice into each of the fallopian tubes; occlusion within three months in 99% of insertions and a hypoallergenic material (unlike Essure which can cause metal-allergic reactions). I want to say our copay was a couple hundred dollars. Well worth it to avoid surgery for either of us. P03w |

I was in an out in 30 minutes. One cut, 2 snips. Tender for a couple of days. No more surprises for me like baby #3.
Wife: Hey honey, I am pregnant! ME: I thought we were going to talk about this. Wife: Why aren't you happy? (fat question trap alert!) |

Know that feeling, the kicked in the boys awhile ago, only lasted a couple of days. So happy when I got to "unwrap" it all. Best thing I ever did
