15" Rims for AutoX?
Looking for information on any 15" rims for AutoX that will clear the stock WRX brake calipers. Also something that would accept a 235 or 245 tire. Tried a few searches but nothing concrete.
Any recommendations? Thanks in advance! Ferg

15x7.5 Volk te-37's fit a WRX I've seen them on one at Nationals. They have a 48 mm offset. They also make a 15x8 w/45 mm offset that will probably fit and may be a better choice if you're going to put 245's on them.

I have a set of the 15x8" Volks on order, should be here at some point this month (ordered them in February - thanks, Mackin! ). When I get them I can test fit them on my sister's WRX. If you plan to go with a 235 or 245 I would say an 8" rim is a necessity. I'm planning on running 225/50-15s on mine. Are there even any 245/xx-15s available?
The Raceline RL-7 also fits, it's a 15x7" with a +50mm offset. Strong but heavy - just weighed one of mine today and it was 19.75# (on a good shipping scale at the local Mailboxes, Etc type place). I knew they were heavy, but didn't think they were that heavy! Since the Volks aren't here yet I just bought a set of Kosei K-1 Racings - 15x7", +45mm, 13.5# advertised weight. I'll try to test fit one of those on my sister's car tonight if I get a chance. Pat Olsen '97 Legacy 2.5GT sedan OTC Touring4 #28 |

The Volks should be able to clear ths stock brakes, but not any brake upgrade.
The RL-9 will clear them as well, but I think theyr'e too heavy. they'll also clear the oem 4 pots but that might be it. I would consider if you want to upgrade the brakes later. That should be a major factor in your wheel choice. look at this site http://spdusa.com/prod03.htm they got some info that might help you. |

Keep in mind the available sizes of the tires you'll want to run...
For instance, Hoosiers aren't available in anything wider than a 225 in a 15" size. Stay with 16's, and you can at least get 245's. |

What 15" would be best for the WRX ???
The 15" Kosei K1 wheels do not clear the WRX brake caliper. With all the different ideas about 15" wheels in 15x7 and wider, what is the best option for the WRX in 15" for use with Rally tires?? Are there limits for the racing classes that make a 15x7 better than a 15x7.5?? If a 15x7 with a 42mm offset cleared the U.S. spec WRX caliper and cleared the 4-pots, would that be prefered over a slightly higher offset 15x7.5?? If there is enough need for 15" wheels on the WRX, it is possible...
