Default IXIZ vs. Crawford vs. Grimspeed AOS

so i need an air oil separator. i've been doing some shopping and pricing and asked around. i've come to the conclusion that these are the the most popular. obviously the grimspeed is cheapest. then the IXIZ, then the crawford. is crawford really $384 good? Does anyone have the IXIZ aos?

I have installed both the IXIZ and the Grimmspeed units. Both seem to work perfectly fine but I have been very very impressed with the quality on the IXIZ units. I went to them for my rear caliper mounting brackets as well and the quality is absolutely amazing and for less money.

Ask ten people about an aos and you'll probably get ten different answers.

That said, my grimspeed works pretty darn well. No oil in my intake, and no more mystery oil useage.

The upside of the aos is zero maintenance. Which I do like.

If I were going to get the IXIZ one, I'd probably just buy the 80/20 extrusion and make it.

If you track your car or drive it hard you should go with the crawford.

While this may be true, I can guarantee you the ixiz is much better. The Crawford is a glorified catch can, ixiz by design can handle much more oil

Is that your gut feeling or do you have something to back that up with? I've only used the Crawford can on the track, in the mountains, and on the street and I know that works as directed when pushed to the limits that's why I recommended it.

Don't forget the Moroso separator (85484). I have it on my 07 STi. Very well engineered. 2 separate cans keeping the PCV and valve cover breathers isolated, as they were engineered to be.

I have something to back it up with but I was asked not to share it. Lab testing of crawford vs ixiz and under the conditions the ixiz did a much better job. Guess you'll just have to take my word for it

Back it up, I'm asking you to share I can always find more money to buy a better system.
