Question Loose Plug, where does this go? (Engine bay by battery)

Hello folks,

2004 WRX. I am getting the P00031 error and after searching a little I found somebody that claimed a loose plug caused this, so I went and looked as well and I did find something unplugged but don't know where it goes, there is no place I can see it would plug into:

What is it, where does it go and do I need it? Any help would be appreciated. Tried searching up and down and can't find a matching description anywhere.

Thanks

Washer fluid plug, assuming you have a sedan with no rear wiper.

It's a connector to the windshield washer pump.

I can see on the picture where it should be plugged into. Pretty much right below your hand. Connects to the grey receiver

And, no, it doesn't matter if you have a sedan or wagon. That is where it connects.
A sedan has one connector.
A wagon has two connectors.

I ran into that code awhile back, on a friends '02 wrx. After a few days of random poking around. We found a corroded wire off his o2 sensor, replaceded and cleared.

I have a sedan with two plugs. But it's a bit of a frankenstein of cars.
