The Road America track day was all about safety which was a good thing for the newbies. They had lots of training on the go cart track and lead and follow events before they let them loose on the big track. I kept thinking about the guy I met in registration who had a 650hp Mustang he had never had on a track before- I was very glad he went through the training before trying to get that beast to corner.

I was really hustling the car to get mostly low 3:00's or high 2:50's. The rear diff got so hot it actually melted the rear abs sensors. Bad timing as the ABS went out as I was braking into 8 and I locked up a wheel and flat spotted. $500 in front tires later

Not sure how much time I give up taking the turn instead of the kink, but I would imagine at least 5 seconds or so. It will be hard to know for sure as I have since had a tune and different intakes and intake plenum so I should have more power. The problem I am having now is an issue with a MAF sensor throwing me into limp mode that is back. Hopefully, I can make it through a track day at Road America on Wed... I am installing some brake ducts tonight to help with heat on the front brakes. This car tends to run a bit hot.

Hopefully you got that MAF sensor sorted. Hope the track day went well.

Unfortunately no. It still goes into limp mode sporadically under full throttle in 2nd and 3rd gear. (Not ideal for a track day) I could not get the part in time so I had to cancel the track day, but I should have it fixed relatively soon.

Whats up? Josh what did you do with your exhaust crosspipe when you put your headers on? Still looking for one. Any meet ups planned?

If anyone still is watching this thread I have a brake question. Used motive power bleeder to bleed brakes. Had inner rear brembo bleeder plugged. Pedal slowly got softer. Replaced bleeder and bled again same thing is happening. Pedal is rock solid after bleed. Week later softer. No loss of fluid.
Only thing I can find is maybe I have to cycle the abs and bleed again. Will try that next weekend. Any advice appreciated. Again after bleed pedal is like new, then fades as days go on, with no loss of fluid.
