Default Can you hear a Exhaust leak??

Hey guys.. I was driving my car kid of hard today and I missed a gear too.. all of a sudden when I slowed down and hung around 4k I could hear this flumping.. like air coming out of a balloon is the best way I can describe this noise.. i cant hear it over 5k cuz of my exhaust.. but hear it at low speeds and betwen 3-4k.. does this sound like a leak? Prob from the exhaust becuase of to much backpreasure? I ma not sure if you can even hear a leak.. What do yu guys think this is? and what should I do?

Sounds like an exhaust leak. Dunno if it's because of the backpressure, though. I doubt it.

You can hear an exhaust leak.
What you describe could be one.

you need to double check all of the exhaust gaskets

over the weekend i found 2 exhaust leaks on my aftermarket unit

one of them was really bad!!!

check the bolts for secureness/tightness
look for any "black soot" around exhaust flange mounting points (indicates leak)

once you find the issue:
try and get new exahusts or if unavailable
use some exhaust/gasket building silicone

you can fix it.
but you have to figure out where the leak is

a leaking exhaust = loss of power

very important to sort it out.
