Yeah, when I upgrade to my next Suby, I'm definitely going with a wagon again. I'm probably going to turn my current 97 L wagon into a dedicated race car.

You can pack a wagon full of camping or snowboarding gear and have fun driving it all up the mountain.

The ladies think the wagon looks better anyway... Plus it's even more embarassing for ricers when they can't get the speed limit as fast as the wagon

-Subwoofers sound better +you dont loose much space if you add a big woofer.
-the middle seatbelt sucks tho...
-and you can fold the seats down and sleep in the back.
-the wagon looks better lowerd with an aggressive stance.
-theres more paint to polish for bling

I agree with everything previously said about the wagon and to comment on one of the replies - the WRX sedan and the WRX wagon ARE the same length and have the same drivetrain. The wagon is 70lbs or so heavier and has a slightly narrower track than the sedan but I consider this a minor difference and are essentially the same car.

And as has been stated is a more practical car for the real world - my wife and I took a cross country trip in 03 and I mounted a car carrier on top took sister-in-law too for several thousand miles - worked very well.

Personally, I've never been bugged by anyone because I've got the wagon and love the sleeper effect too - suprized many people in a race.

if someone talks shhh about your wagon then take them for a ride in it. That will shut them the hell up. I don't think the wagon looks like a granny mobile at all.. I personally have a sedan but I was sooo close to buying my friend's wagon (a nasioc member). I like the looks of both and favor the sedan a little bit more as far as looks go. I wish my damn seats folded all the way down though. At least i can put my skis in through the center hole.

You could say that you got the wagon because the seat folds down and it is the perfect place to bang your mom g/f sister ect.......

Well, I drive an OBS, so I guess it does make it a mom mobile.

But it's still fun to drive and can haul lots o' crap (I'm a musician, so I've got gear to lug around). Maybe I'll upgrade to a WRX wagon after grad school... or a house... or... or... crap.

Just ask them how many sets of rims and tires they can bring to the track.

I was going to trade mine in on a new sedan, but I realized I could just build the s*** out of the wagon and really have a sleeper! Much cheaper too than trading and saving for a new one.

I have owned 3 wagons, 2 WRXs and my 9-2X. I would have to say it's the sleeper factor. Most people see a wagon and think it's just a grocery getter. I also like the extra room. It comes in handy when I'm moving everything to and from school.

I get called "the soccer mom's wagon" by my friends, or something along the lines of having multiple kids and/or family man.

<-- single, no kids, decent job, taking applications (holla!)

I bought the wagon mainly for the extra cargo space: lugging around tool boxes, luggage, hardware. It was also a couple bucks cheaper than the sedan and the extra weight in the rear evens out the weight ratio.

3 wishes:
1) STi wagon in the US
2) Sedan track
3) Sedan flares

I like my wagon, but I might give it up for an STi if I was so inclined, either that or maybe swap up to the LGT wagon.

I got my wagon because u don't see to many wagon around here. I like to be different. As for ppl giving me shnat, i could care less what they think, because i know that they will be crying in my rear view mirror soon . Really though, i got it because i really like the looks of the wagon over the sedan.

Room. Hauling stuff 500 miles requires a lot of room. Plus, like others have said, stealth. Getting beat by a wagon is just embarrassing.

I only get crap from a guy who drives a 96 blazer, a guy who drives an 04 cavalier, and a guy who drives a 00 S-10 w/ the extreme body kit. The guy with the blazer is borderline retarded and I let him make fun of me if it lets him sleep better at night. The guy w/ the cavalier thinks manual cars are primitive and stupid, but I think he can't drive stick and just makes fun of people who can and the fact that a cavalier is like sitting in a plastic model. The guy w/ the s-10 thinks his truck is quick just because it has a chevy extreme body kit on it. I look at it this way. There are all driving crap when it comes to scoobies. I don't say that to them because I really don't care what they think of MY car. I let them drive their american crap cars ( I love this country, but our cars really can't hold a candle to most imported ones) and think their the best. I know my car is better and thats all that counts. I don't personally like the sedans as much. I liked the wagon more than the sedan I test drove. I was shopping for a sedan, until I drove a wagon. I like the way a wagon feels. It also comes in handy when you have to carry something big. My brother makes fun of it too, but he is 4 years older than me (28) and he hasn't had his own car since I was in high school and I lived at home. He still lives in my dad's basement and can't keep a job, so I just consider the sources.
