+1 I havnt slept all night.

God bless the subaru community and everyone coming together to help find Colin and his missing wagon. Last I heard they were on the way to the hospital and they had started to tow out the car.

All together (minus Colin Supermaning off Mt Baker) was a very fun day and really enjoyed mowing pauls yard

I will post up the few pix i took when i get home from work.

Is he alright?

Thats one of my biggest fears on these drives, not only for myself doing it, but others as well.

+1 I feel 100% safe driving with this crew. Everyone really goes out of their way to look out and take care of each other.

I am glad he is OK.

Bryan, I still have your radio. The guy with the blue WRX or the guy with the BMW has your camera.

I have a ton of pictures, but I went to bed almost as soon as I got home, so I didn't pull pictures off. I will process some later and put them up.

Agreed. This was my first time driving with some of this group and I am impressed. We kept it at a good pace but not dangerously fast. Thanks for making a special stop for me to check out my car.

Huge thanks to Paul and family for the use of their property. It was a blast!

I'm glad you guys all had fun - and I'm really glad that Colin is doing fine. It was pretty hectic for a little while up there, but the car was really in excellent condition for flying through large trees for about 100 feet. Another reason to buy a Subie.

Huge thanks to Brandon for taking over most of the cooking! You rock dude - glad you were able to fix the boost issue with your car.

Thanks to all of you for bringing chips/salsa/drinks/etc, and all your smiling faces!

Thanks to Bryan for bringing the DVD of the Alki meet - that was an awesome vid dude.

Maybe we'll do it again next year if I'm around. Our field should have recovered by that time.

Will post up pics in a day or two - haven't had a chance to look at/edit them yet.

-Paul

So never listen to Paul, ever. "Come hang out with me and my Subaru driving buddies, it'll be fun!" he says. Next thing I know I'm climbing down the side of a mountain. In the dark. Other than that I did have lots of fun.

And officially he flew 270 feet (at least 100 or so were in the air) according to the tow drivers I talked to this morning. He was sideways for a while because he had to have split two trees that were pretty close together. And it rolled, more than once. The car was off the mountain by 1AM (might have been 12:30, cant remember) and is sitting is Heston Hauling's lot. Apparently that's the toughest winch out the drivers had ever had to do.

Pauly, I've got your jacket. I think. I've got someone's black REI jacket.

You Subaru guys sure know how to throw a party. I'll bring climbing gear next time.

270ft!!!!! damn son

Colin u crazy faulker, Im just glad your ok and we were able to get down to you in a reasonable amount of time. I think you should paint the Superman logo on the hood of whatever car you get next because you sir can fly.

Colin FYI you beat Kens 171ft jump by 100ft, granted most of that distance was in a downward direction

Ya if it wasn't for everyones preparedness and background ie. handheld radios, signal flares, fire extinguishers, cellphones w/ EMS and the police on the line, LED flashlights some of us with basic 1st aid, boyscout, medical/saftey, military background Im sure things could have ended up very different. Everyone showed AMAZING and I really have to emphasize AMAZING teamwork last night.

now hopefully paul and phil and the rest got some sleep and started editing pix.

Phil Im holding u to your 24business hours remark hahaha

Someone should send this whole thing in as a case study for the safety and build quality of Subaru. =)

good meet guys. I want to thank everyone for being so helpful, as well as calm and collected when things went wrong. I can't imagine a bad situation getting handled any better than this group did. Thanks to Paul for organizing the BBQ and drive too. here's some pics.
